Note
To a certain extend Blood West works with randomized loot locations. That means that you will always find the keys in the north western valley, the lower levels of the bridge as well as the crater area; however the exact location changes depending on your "map seed".

Feel free to comment the exact location, where you found your key lying.
Key Locations
1. North western valley

Found the key in a tent, beware patrolling Wendigo close.

alternative key location:

On a box near the valley's northern exit ramp.

2. Below the railway bridge

A bit harder to reach. Go to this location.

Climb down the rope on the right side of the platform.

Cross the lower level of the bridge's truss work to the other side.

On the barrel.

3. Big crater

Easiest way to reach it, is by going to Fort and leaving through the backside entrance. (shown here on the right)

Beware 3 roaming Wendigos. Eventually you will get here.

The key is in the back of that cave.

On a box.

loot:
  • 500 $
  • 4 cigars

2. Fort inside small building on lower level

  • 444 $

Unless they changed something, there are enough keys. 3 keys for 3 safes.

Shame there aren’t enough keys for all the boxes.

I found a CH1 Raven Skull Necklace in the Burial Grounds on top of one of the lofts/grave things there; in the southern-most area of the Burial Grounds.

! didn't know they dealt damage through the bark!

Have a good'n fam!

The reason why I always go for molotovs is because they deal full damage even with closed bark. Fire ammo is a bit weaker but does to a certain extend the same, where burn damage applied before the bark closes still deals damage with closed bark.

By the way updated the safe's loot, thanks for the help :)

I'm not a fan of molotovs, instead I would keep the two (three?) rusty buffolo rifles you can find in ch1 and use them, plus the stop watch. The boss does that thing where it snaps closed and becomes invulnerable as soon as you do enough damage, so the key would be to jump past that amount by as large a margin as possible (as quickly as possible).
But yeah thanks for sharing your memory!! I'll drop another post if I get the last key and open the bar safe before you do. :)

Glad my memory still works :).

However if I would go for a speedrun, I would probably not go for it, since it takes quite some time. I am more inclined to kill a bunch of bird man, load their revolvers to the max, then get the watch from Jim and then level up to fanning and obtain some molotovs.
In the boss fight I would just rush forward, empty the revolvers one by one (reloading just takes precious time :P) and on close throw molotovs

Alright, found it in the northern burial grounds, at the absolute southern tip of the depressed area, on a raised burial skiff!
