Introduction
As some of you may have noticed, Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) experiences suboptimal performance on 12th generation and newer Intel processors along with some AMD Ryzen processors. This is attributed to the game misusing E-cores instead of P-cores.
The Tweak: -threads X Launch Option
-threads X Launch Option

Set the following launch option for the CS2 based on the total cores count of your processor + 1, the list below is an example for common settings:
  • 4 cores: -threads 5
  • 8 cores: -threads 9
  • 16 cores: -threads 17


Expected performance boost
  • 1% lows usually increase for around +20 fps
  • Average FPS increases on average +40 fps, to some systems up to +80 fps.
  • And there is a gain with reduced frame spike

Results may vary based on individual systems, and it's recommended to test your FPS and 1% lows before sticking with the launch option.
