Introduction
Although it is very simple, the mechanics allow you to do some combo moves and create equipment builds.

I am writing for the soul, some opinions may not coincide, no one forbids anyone to do whatever they want, there is no friendly fire.
So put on your proton pack and let's go catch ghosts!
Everyday life of a hunter
Let's start with the world of the living humies.

Lobby
As you may already know, your lobby is the entire depot + Ray's store. But, if you press Esc, then there is a quick access button where you can immediately open the setup menu without running around the entire depot.

ALL red upgrades are unlocked on the computer in Eddie's room on the second floor (to the right of the entrance). Including equipment skins from cartoons.

The book of contracts will help diversify the gameplay in each rink. But you can open some clothes, personalized patches and other accessories. To do this, look at the rewards section when you scroll through contracts, so that you don’t only see the exp.

In the lobby, in the readiness menu, press X to change the wish list for which side you want to race, so to speak, set your preference.

In the basement, cleaning traps is nothing more than an aesthetic feature. The opportunity appears after one successful match. Whether you do it or not is your business, but no one bothers you to run downstairs after every roller to empty it, as if you were actually at work.

There is a menu of emotions on the V button. There is that same dance.

When you play with bots, sooner or later the question arises of how to change their equipment and skins. In the alley, go to the equipment settings menu, at the bottom is the “V” equipment button and here are the build selection menus. The buttons contain features of who the build is occupied with. Build 1 - 1 character, Build 2 - second character, etc. You can reassign to other dudes. To do this, point at the build button, press V, and switch to another. And thus, bots will use upgraded protons and additional features like grenades and beacons.

PKE-meter
The PKE meter recognizes two signals. Down - ghost (location boss player/bot, servants, minions), up - portal/rift. When you are looking for the main one, you often come across younger ones (the counter on the top right shows how many of these assistants are flying).

When you look for a rift, the signal from it is muffled by the object in which it is hidden. But half a meter away from him, you’ll still catch him. It is enough to destroy the proton and it will reveal itself. And then the signal will be picked up much further, just like a ghost signal.

The small arrow in the PKE meter shows where the signal source is, a floor below (simply below you), a floor above (above you) or on the same level as you.

When the rift is visible, it will spawn juniors up to a limit of 8 pieces. They help the main ghost to terrorize the location - move objects and terrorize the little creatures themselves, although a little lazy, but sometimes enough to bring them to panic.

If you want to break up breaks more effectively, then upgrade the emitter to the damage focus. In some places you can set the thermal efficiency, and then you can deal more damage to portals without rapid heating, but the ability to capture ghosts in the lasso will suffer, and he can quickly dart in a sprint.

With a PKE meter you run faster as standard than with a proton, if you have installed mods that affect your running speed.

Equipment
No matter how hard you try to make a cool build, you will ALWAYS sacrifice something. Do you want to damage rifts? Bush sacrifice the speed of creating a lasso. Do you want to lasso faster? The proton unit will overheat faster. Would you like to demonstrate efficiency in a different way? Be prepared to walk slower.
So are traps. The force of attraction - the battery will be consumed faster.
With a PKE meter, it’s either better to catch signals, or it’s better to damage with an impulse - but be prepared to wait longer for reloading.

Mood
An ordinary humie has 4 stages of mood (I’ll make it clear from the guide inside the game)
Calmness (blue sign) - you can even cheer up, then a shield of resistance to fear will appear for a while
Excited (yellow sign) - I saw it once twice and became sad.
Frightened (orange sign) - almost letting liquid into your pants. Most contracts require them to be reassured at this stage.
PANIC
(red sign) - the guy runs from the spot and +5% to the overall capture.

By the way, a dude may be scared by the equipment (but due to the almost childish rating, protons are harmless to people if you want to shoot at them, as well as at your own). One contract says to shoot nearby 15 times.

RAYS CAN BE CROSSED. JUST FINK ABOUT IT.

And since protons are harmless to people, one thing pops up. There is a ghost class puppeteer (7 in order of the general roster) (a kind of baron of hell, in appearance they resemble Gozer’s minions) and a horror class, subclass dragon (2 in the general list and the first within its class). they can inhabit people. In principle, they are all scorched by sudden movements and the inability to calm down. The dragon immediately scorches with burning eyes. And this is where the pulse of the PKE meter comes into play. He knocks the ghost out of things and even little people, stunning them for a couple of seconds. The impulse takes a long time to recharge (the human factor for such a fast game), with upgrades the recharge can only be delayed, so be careful when turning it into a powerful exorcism tool, then the bush will then run around blind for a long time.

Raising your own people is much faster than getting up yourself.

Tools
A vertical movement device (VTD) or a climber is a standard auxiliary tool that allows you to quickly climb to the floor above.
At least one of them should have stink grenades (ionizers), they slow down the ghost.
At least one of them must have a lighthouse. Place a thread somewhere at a crossroads to check for anomalous objects or the ghost itself.
The gizmo belt is the most useless gadget in my opinion. It only dampens the mood aura for the ghost so that it cannot track you from a distance.
Moderator - does not allow you to create nightmares and inhabit objects.
Ecto glasses are the second most useless gadget. If you often use impulse and are waiting for reload, then in principle you can try to track where the ghost is sitting and check the points of passage through the walls in case it flies by.

The standard trap requires you to stand on a button to open/close. Upgrades to the seismic button (there will be a trigger zone radius around the button) and the control panel will help turn on the trap in the distance.

If you look higher, the trap can be thrown further, if there are no mods that make it heavier (- to the throw range)

The trap can be stolen and broken. If you can get an old one - malatsa. But if it’s broken, go to the start and get a new one. And the cart will have a cooldown of 60 seconds, when you can pick up a new one.

You can try to quickly make a skating rink - quickly destroy the gaps with all your might, and then quickly catch the ghost completely. Well, this is kind of the main tactic.
Or in another way - just catch it every time, leaving no chance for additional lives, forcing you to play prophunt.

Contracts
There are several points that I looked out for on how to understand the clauses of the contract and where it is more effective to implement them.

In one contract there is a clause to hold a fortified lasso - this time you will have to either take a friend or race with randoms. You need to make sure that the first guy starts holding the ghost, and then you hang your second proton on him and count the time. If the ghost is a player, you can agree that he does not break the lasso.

The museum is the most effective location for expensive things. Here you can grind for damages of hundreds of thousands of bucks.

To catch a ghost alone - most likely there is a moment when you are the only one who sees him, while the others are in other parts of the loca, then a hundred pounds will be read.

To get completely dirty is to let yourself fall.

Making you lose a portal is, well, one of the hardest random things to do. Not in all cases do bots take breaks, as the algorithm is interrupted and goes into an escape from the hunters. The players are also 50/50.
Eternal everyday life of a ghost
Now let's see what's on the ghost's side.
Your task is to destroy everything with the slime and capture the location. The location is divided into several rooms. Each room has a mini counter for its capture (top left). To increase your capture speed, fly around the room, destroy objects and small creatures passing by. Each captured room gives a large % to the capture progress up to 25%. Each panicker who runs away from the lock adds +5% to the total capture.

Each playable ghost has the following abilities:
  • fright is the main attack. She will be stronger if you scare her from an object.
  • summoning minions and minions - in the customization lobby you can change the type of ability: either summon a pack, or set a trap from one grabber
  • unique ability - each subclass has its own ability (with the exception of the glutton, he has a unique one - eat items for his ultimate)
  • super move or ult is a long-recoverable ability. In each class, all subclasses have the same one, only the glutton has his own ultimate in each subclass
  • grabbing objects - you can crush objects and they will jump and fly under the influence of PKE
  • moving in - you can move into almost all objects on the map (well, which the developers have outlined, yes). Most of the time you can move, some of the time you can’t.
  • notice me - being in the object, you can buzz it to draw the attention of the little guy to you, or play dangerously with the hunters

Psycho-kinetic energy is contained in ectoplasm - there is the life of a ghost. The energy scale shows the remainder. It is for all abilities, including sprint. No energy - no abilities, which means dive into objects to rest. Energy recovery occurs quickly when stationary, a little less quickly if you move in an object (a poltergeist can normally restore energy just as quickly in electrical objects and when moving)

Artifacts and rifts/portals.
Each map has like 3 presets for placing artifacts. These are items that do not fit into the aesthetics of the map. Namely:
  • bust
  • a statue of some kind of sea god (something with claws like Cthulhu, but not Cthulhu)
  • necronomicon
  • antique watches
  • vase
  • tattered children's doll
You can move portals from core artifacts to other items, confusing the cards for experienced players who can learn the formations.
Gap/portal - there is an extra life. There are no portals left - the hunters can finally trap you and throw you into the detention block. You can leave the portal open for helpers to spawn (maximum 8 pieces), and it has enough HP so that you can react and hide it, but if more than two of it are falling apart, then you need to act quickly. You can also blow up a gap/portal (Q) to almost instantly destroy the room, adding % to your overall progress and giving yourself a challenge.
But if you manage to save all 3 portals, then the red last chance timer will immediately jump to 10 seconds and the hunters will not have time to grab you (if they lassoed you, then the timer freezes, giving you a real last chance). And depending on how many portals have been preserved, this is a minus to the timer:
all 3 portals (or even 4 for the overlord) - -75 sec, immediately 10 sec
2 portals - -30 sec
1 portal - -15 sec
0 - full timer

If you are lassoed, move the mouse over the arrow and tread to break the lasso. After this, you will have a 3-second boost to quickly fly to another place without wasting energy (and also resist the repeated lasso). Depending on how long they hold you, it becomes much more difficult to break out, and while you are trying to break out, they lead you into a trap. Different classes of ghosts can be either easier to break out or harder, easier to lasso, or more difficult to lasso. To this you can simply read the pros and cons of the game.

Only while sprinting can you fly into portals in the walls and floor/ceiling. Also, only in a sprint can you fly through the juds/hunters. The hunters will be slowed down by the weight of the slime, and you will have some head start to fly away.

If you are lassoed while casting an ability, it will reset to a short cooldown break. So keep an eye on the situation.

The ghost also has an emote menu on V.

Escape from the trap is a rather difficult mini-game (for the last class of the overlord it is a little easier, but for the brute it becomes more difficult). To escape, point the mouse at the point and quickly tap the button (I advise you to reassign the keys to make it more convenient). But too often it won’t work; anyway, at one fine moment, without a mini-game, it will quickly suck in as revenge for playing with the hunters.

By going behind the hunters, you can turn off and sabotage their proton blocks. And then they will have to be distracted by repairs, and then they will have to quickly act further.

You can close the traps (dangerous! she can easily suck them in) and steal them, taking it to another place to force the hunters to go to the start and take a new one. And break them, especially being a thug. And you can break not only traps, but also other instruments, such as radar and moderator.

You can change the ghost's main class (but not its subclass) if you are sucked into a trap. That is, you can respawn for someone else. I would consider it to be that the first one is really caught, and the gap is for other copies or classes (Tobin supposedly explains that he can somehow open the trap and inside through a gap into the portal, or is he talking about the detention block, that it itself is full of holes from time)

If you notice the “Smart Ghost” exp among the rewards, you are stealth. And this will have to be done for one contract, where you need to fly nearby unnoticed. Bots are sometimes stupid and I just practically stand there as long as necessary ))).
Ending
Here are some observations from notes that I played. And the official guide book is on the second floor, in principle there is basic information, but if something is not clear, write, we’ll explain it.
