Yeah...I love Tyranny. I've also written an unfinished novel about the Overlord in our world. Kyros established her Empire in the Middle East, just like Alexander. She would gradually conquer the Earth and may eventually venture into space. The idea for a Stellaris mod came to me while I was writing, so here it is. Sadly, it's difficult to translate the novel into English.
Note that this mod contains spoilers about Tyranny.
Sorry, I have no plans of that kind. I imagined a God-Machine Origin which was inspired by Demon: the Descent in CofD. The God-Machine can use advanced logic to produce effects similar to the Overlord's Edict. But my spare time is occupied by other interests such as TRPG, which results in that this origin cannot be updated frequently, let alone make new origins.
That bug has been fixed in the latest version. If the event is still firing, you can try to resubscribe this mod.
I did consider adding a Spire planetary feature to the homeworld, which produces Menace. More Spires can be found and activated in random planets. In this case, the Overlord will not produce Menace.
But the Spires are a bit out of place in sci-fi setting. Also, in my headcanon, the Spires hold massive power because their grand size have been witnessed by people from all over the Terratus for a long time. The Archons rise in love and fear, the Steadfast Insignia became an Artifact due to the Stalwart people's worship, and so did the Spires. If this is true, they are replaceable. Sooner or later, Kyros can issue Edicts all by her own power, as she is also accumulating huge fame. Once she achieves such a goal, the Spires will most likely be wiped out from the world.
I think Menace is similar to the Power in Tyranny. Perhaps the Overlord wants a war with the Fatebinder so that she could spread more fear and asecend to godhood, just like a nemesis empire would do...
Besides the Bronze Age vibe, I also didn't mention the Spires and Oldwalls in this mod. Now that the Empire has spacecraft, they are possibly no longer mysterious and the secrets hidden within them may not be important.
