Description

"Julesvile made the ocean its wasteland, fueling their greed, thinking it'd all last forever. Little did they know that they had created their worst nightmare..."

LORE

At one point, the waters of Aether were clean for fish to swim and frolic in - before the nearby citizens of Julesvile began tossing unused and useless gear and trash into the beachside, causing the once beloved water to become an acidic wasteland…

It wasn’t until the day that heavy machinery came - Badger Co had begun using the waters to expand their operations - that a certain otter decided that enough was enough. From the pollution of the lazy people of Aether, to Badger Co now overtaking her home in the underwater world, an angry, rampaging otter flung herself into the action.

The otter slammed onto the ground, giving off a death stare to the workers, declaring war upon them. The workers began to laugh at the sight of the small otter, asking “You and what army?” The otter walked to one worker and without a word, proceeded to push over an entire truck and break it (and probably the worker's bones as well), despite her small form.

The workers stopped laughing as they realized they were in grave danger.

GAMEPLAY

If you are a fan of both grapplers and lightweight characters, this one’s for you! With her wild moveset, this character focuses on the mechanics of a grappler that feels very impactful with every slam, smash, and of course - grab. This character also inches with lightweight fast options too that can lead to various combos.

ACID MODE

Osana built her washing machine backpack and acid gloves using all the junk and trash found from what remained of her home. She invented machinery that uses acidic water to strengthen herself, making her formidable foe against both goons and heavy machinery alike - she’s like a one otter army!

In game, Osana’s acid tank is called Acid Meter, which will trigger the Acid Mode once full. Acid mode unlocks EX specials, which are stronger counterparts to normal specials.

Direction

Default

Neutral Special

Trash Bomb: Osana summons an acidic bubble containing remote controlled explosive, which can be triggered anywhere from the stage. Once the trash bomb is exploded, it’ll shoot out the trash onto unsuspecting enemies. The acidic bubble can be moved if you or anyone else hits it.

Acid Dynamite: Similar to trash bomb, but a much larger hitbox. It causes several explosions once triggered. All the trash has melted in the acid, so no boots are flung during this explosion, thankfully. (Still though, you wouldn't want to be around the explosion.)

Forward Special

Otter Grab: Osana launches herself towards her opponent grabbing them on the spot. Pressing any directional input will result in a grappling move. If you time your hit by pressing the special button again at the right time on the floor, a spark of acid will appear around you, dealing more damage!

Acid Otter Grab: Using acid powers to her advantage, Osana’s grab will increase in damage and velocity. You deal greater damage when throwing the opponent and can deal an even more absurd damage by timing a special button press correctly.

Down Special:

Acid Barrier: Spawns an acidic barrier around Osana, converting any damage she receives into acidic fuel and enabling her to attack a fierce counter strike! (Careful, biohazard ahead!)

Acid Armor: Osana covers herself and the surroundings in acid, dealing damage and sticking herself to the ground, giving herself a brief knockback immunity. Acid meter cannot be used when acid shield is active.

Up Special:

Vortex Leap: Osana launches upward and uses her jetpack's acid water to do so, spinning around and hitting enemies.

Acid Vortex Leap: With acid flowing in Osana’s backpack, her Acid Vortex Leap has increased damage and reach.

We wanted to create a character just to see how well we'd do together as a team, and it's been a blast making this character, and we're so happy that she's released. Though we wished we could've had more time to add and polish this character more, we hope you enjoy this character nonetheless!
