Khertland Heavy AT Type 2

The Khertland heavy anti-tank is a anti-armor role in the weapons squad equipped with a larger and heavier anti-tank weapon system than rifle squads. Rifle squads use lighter and smaller disposable launcher tubes (although the fire control module is kept) as their primary anti-vehicular weapon system. However it is often not powerful enough to stop tanks. The weapons squad is thus equipped with a portable anti-tank system that can fire both guided missiles and large unguided rockets giving the platoon an enhanced anti-armor capability.
In order to maximize the weapons squad's firepower, the Khertland army has done away with an ammo bearer for the heavy anti-tank weapon system. This freed up members of the squad to equip themselves with other weapons such as a SAW. In turn the heavy anti-tank gave up its hydration pack and shovel to carry two spare rockets on his back each weighing about 6 kg. The launcher with a loaded round weighs 18 kg bringing the total weight to 30 kg, a hefty amount to be lugging around in combat. This combined with the poor accuracy of its ATGM has led to disdain by soldiers for its ineffectiveness despite its weight. The unguided rocket is preferred due to its larger explosive filler while the ATGM's poor tracking capabilities meant it was only able to hit stationary targets anyways.
For self defense, the heavy anti-tank is given a semi-automatic pistol and a utility knife. Each Weapons Squad has two heavy anti-tank and with 3 shots each, it gives a dismounted platoon a total of 6 rounds without resupplying. More rounds can be carried on the armored personnel carrier or infantry fighting vehicle.
