The Fatigue Horror
Fatigue is actually a nice gameplay element but horrible implented and so there is not all too much you actually can do about Fatigue except for accepting what you get and hoping the next battle you run into will not break your neck, but you have some "options" the game will offer you which i will cover here but better not get your hopes up too high.

In case you didn't knew: every single percentage of fatigue is already subtracted from your stats.

Which means once high enough you will get the fatigue debuff of 10% ~ Orange or 30% ~ Red on top of it.

Fatigue + High Fatigue debuff = The Final Percentage

As you propably should know by now Fatigue is that funny little Tie symbol on bottom of your screen that most time raise high enough that you wonder how our heroine is even still able to walk.

But as you know:

Karryn is an elite, a highly skilled professional with not just brains but also brawns, thats why she can't move a leg without raising fatigue to infinity and beyond...

Fatigue gain rate and Stats boosts
You can actually decrease the amount of fatigue you will gain from battles and other activities like side jobs, but it is either just again super small numbers which lose its effect really fast or you have more trouble getting it as it is worth the effort.

Title for Lowering fatigue gain
  • The Management Consultant title will reduce the fatigue gained by 15%
  • You can grab it right at the start of a fresh save.
  • But the effect is only at the beginning of the game noticeable for like the first 2 Floor.

Ending Title for Lowering fatigue gain
  • The Happy Life title will reduce the fatigue gained by 5%.
  • You will get it for beating the game with the Good ending
  • Not like you will feel the 5% different but, yeah, you should grab what you can get, perv.

Gift for Lowering fatigue gain
  • The Snow White Music Box item will reduce the fatigue gained by 15%.
  • You can grab it after defeating the Level 4 Boss
yes, when you reach the point of the game where a single fight remaining stops you from beating it, just don't question this genius design decision.

Meal for Lowering fatigue gain
  • The Agnus Ribeye w/ Maple Essence Deconstructed meal will reduce the fatigue gained by 33% for the rest of the day.
  • You can grab it from the Mess hall after buying the Artisan Meal for Chief Warden edict,
It will be available at random days, yes you might even have to skip a day.
  • The edict will shredd' your income, like almost everything else in this game, but if you are able to afford the high amount of money and edict points you are good to go.

Store Item for Lowering fatigue gain
  • The 6-Hour Energy Drink from the Store will reduce the fatigue gained by 20% but will also reduce ALL of your stats by 5%.
  • You can grab it from the Store on Floor 2 after buying the Repair Store and Free Store Item for Chief Warden Edicts.
  • Well if money isn't your issue you are fine to go, just keep in mind the 5% on all stats penalty is basically working like 5% fatigue gained, so you gain -20% less fatigue but lose -5% stats on top of your current fatigue.

Boosting your stats
You also can upgrade the Warden office bed to gain a better sleep for a stat boost which will not save you once your fatigue is high enough but since the RNG in this game is horrible you should grab every little bit of stat buff you can get.

The Guard station bed can be upgraded too once you unlocked the research in case you ever feel like risking something in life... not that karryn would mind.

  • The effect of the bed will increase after using the couch in the Office or Guard station which also depends on certain passives.
Enemie encounters
You always should be careful when taking on enemies like thinking about which battle you start with an amount of fatigue you can handle.
Outmatching enemies by raising your Warden level higher as heaven also works, sometimes, sometimes you just take 80% stamina damage by blocking attacks with confidient buff...

High order also helps to keep fatigue gained a bit down, High order = Less waves = less fatigue you then get like no money but who needs money anyway.

Outrunning enemies
It is essential that you dodge or better said avoid enemies, since you can't clear out all rooms especialy in later floors because of "ms.spank bank the fatigue magnet".

The best thing to avoid enemies is to entering a room and watch their movement pattern until you get a feeling for it.
Yes it is boring and exhausting and takes like a infinity sometimes until you might even fall asleep before karryn does, but, well, thats how this genius game mechanic works, do not question it.

Depending on the Floor you gain up to 15% Fatigue from simply fleeing a fight, so you might want to get the hang on outrunning enemies.
And watch out when passing by enemies, they like to force you into battle out of nowhere...

But don't be too harsh with karryn, running with the weight of 2 planets you have to carry on your shoulder is difficulty.

NOTE: Keeping the Royal Guards will Highly lower invasion chance and keep the hallway in front of your office save when karryn gets scandalous once again.

Changing your playstyle
Since "karryn the secretary highly skilled in falling down" works best when she is lying on her back, you might want to consider to get energy boosts and the Healing thoughts skill and just lay down so the inmates can toy with you.

Serious note: this indeed reduce the fatigue gained

So all benefits are just once again against you while the penalties are superior... not that i expect anything else from this game,

All these numbers just feels like a disaster at some point, really could had been handled better and more comfortable...

But thanks for the info, definately should help keeping this in mind.

yea you still get lower fatigue but the expense paid for it doesn't get you as much of a return if you already have other stuff reducing fatigue, especially the drink, which reduces your stats by 5%. So, it may not be worth it to get the drink when it probably won't help you with an extra fight.

But the end result is: having the "Happy Life" title already lowers every incoming fatigue gain bonus like the 33% from the meal or the 20% from the drink?

If so this doesn't apply to fatigue and the cricital fatigue debuff ? since they doesn't result in a lower value if you get the 10% or 30% on top of it.

By diminishing returns I mean if you get the 5% as the second it would be more effective than being the third for the actual reduction. To see this, you can see that the reduction from it being (x*0.85)*0.05 as opposed to (x*0.85*0.67)*0.05 where x is original fatigue cost. Clearly, 0.85*0.05 >>> 0.85*0.67*0.05. If you have never been good at maths just forget everything I said lol Just saying its value isn't great.

For increase, compound interest (multiplicative) is great but for reduction, it's better if it were additive.

So that means carrying both titles already gives you actualy less buff and the "Happy Life" title just drags you down for other buffs?

Also no idea how the math works on Fatigue then when you get the high Fatigue bonus on top.

The effect is multiplicative. So say if you have eaten food and have the title bonuses for the 5% and 15%. So, more effect makes the return diminishing.
(1-0.33 * (1+food bonus %)) * (1-0.15) * (1-0.05)

There's also a store item to lower fatigue gain

Player stats? no.
You can lower gain-rate only with items and titles.

do any stats reduce the amount of fatigue gained
