@Brownie: yes, you can go Storm Sorcerer 8 / Tempest Cleric 2 / Wizard 2. I'd get the second Wizard level at level 10, right after the level 9 respec. You'd lose direct access to Cone of Cold, but you can always learn it with a scroll.
@Raining Hams: It is. It has, however, a somewhat slow progression, so you should always pair it with 1-2 builds that can carry you in the early game (typically Open Hand Monk and Tavern Brawler Throw are great at this as they come online as early as level 4).
A few enemies (Grym, Ansur) will have lightning damage negation, so you shouldn't bring that build for these fights (for Ansur, you can always switch to Cold or Thunder damage).
Only question I have is can it be tweaked to add in 2 wizard for the potent dice or are we losing too much cutting that most likely 9th sorc level and if you did where would you stick it
Wizard 1 is probably more useful than Sorcerer 10 because only the former will give you access to Level 6 spells. You will get all your spell slots no matter what you choose, as both imply having 11 levels into full faster classes; but getting any level 6 spell requires having 11 levels in a class, unless you use scroll learning.
However, the only level 6 spell you'd really want is Chain Lightning. You could just rely on casting it through Markoheshkir and scrolls (without learning them), and take level 10 Sorcerer for Heightened Metamagic.
I don't think there's that big of a difference. Arguably the better way of playing is taking 10 Sorcerer (for Heightened Metamagic) and having a stack of level 6 scrolls at your disposal, but I personally can't be bothered, so I take the wizard dip.
Guide is neat, tho, only thing that could be added is syneriges with othe builds (like most obvious bard's Song of rest or so).
I have noticed the game asks that indeed, but I've nerver gone through with it. I don't know why it's an option, the spell doesn't directly deal any damage. As far as I know, that would be a wasted divinity charge, but I can't confirm it as of right now
question: when you cast Kereska's favor, the game asks if you want to cast destructive wrath along with it, is this a benefit in any way?
You are absolutely correct, I will edit the guide to mention this.
I think the better option, if you don't like opening Cleric, would be to do open Wizard first when doing the second (and, optionally, third) respec. It lets you safely open Sorcerer last, and narratively isn't very different than opening Sorcerer first.
The only issue with this is the current implementation of how magic items work - if you take a dip in anything in the order you suggest it means that any magic item use will be on WIS or INT (as it currently takes the last NEW class added, not the last class you levelled up). I know this only affects a couple of the items listed (like staff of interruption) but it's worth being aware of if people have other items they want to use that cast spells. I'm hoping they correct this as I dislike having to have cleric as my first level for narrative reasons
