TWS Radar set

The TWS radar is a long range radar which allows user to guide missiles in 360 degrees field of view.

To use it, simply enable it, and select the target using the map display. The highlighted target will be yellow, and the system will output the GPS coordinates of this target.
To scroll between targets, press 4 on the seat. You can filter targets by altitude by pressing "M" on the map, and filter to only select moving targets with the "Only moving targets" switch.

Moving targets will be red, and show a movement direction.
Stationary targets will be green, and lack the line showing direction of movement.

A yellow line on the monitor points towards your currently locked target.
(The yellow line purpose is so that it is not desynced in multiplayer, if you look on the vehicle it comes with a velocity pivot and physics sensor on it, the sensor direction will not be desynced, this way on the map it will display more correctly where locked target is)

You can also clean the target list by pressing "C" on the monitor.

Additionally, you can turn on "HMD Enable" which will lock targets using the direction you are facing.
Pressing 4 while HMD mode being on will try to lock what you are looking at, it is very useful to quickly acquire a target.

This TWS uses new radars and therefore it has alot of noise, but the target position is accurate enough to use a missile with terminal radar guidance in combination with it.

It has 8km range, it will scan 360 degrees horizontally, and with 45 degree vertical field of view.
It is suitable for air defence systems, aircraft and other applications.

It outputs X,Y,Z on channels 11,12,13



A TWS radar is a "Track While Scan" radar, which means that it is capable of scanning for multiple targets, and locking them simultaneously.
The advantage of a TWS radar over traditional tracking radars and search radars, is that the TWS radar set both shows you all targets it can see, and lets you lock any of them.
