When you have the spare time to update it, my suggestion is to lower the spawn chance, make a longer curing cooldown or make them cure less people each time.
Just for fun, maybe the mad scientists have a low possibility to turn the infected into respective monsters.
Little math; 5% of a 500 pop kingdom (0.05 x 500 = 25) is still a lot of Doctors... imagine spawning that many Plague Doctors yourself, and they don't seem to have the same cool down/ranges as Plague Doctors. I put 30 Plague Docs in a settlement of Humans with the plague and they were still fighting it 30yrs later. With this mod? I'm hard pressed to find anyone still carrying the disease by the end of the year, even when carpet bombing the same kingdom with the plague.
Good, just needs some balancing tweaks.
