No idea how you are supposed to tell the orientation of the notes compared to the chimes and the missing 1 means you'll have to brute force the final one anyway.

Because the notes go:

and

_|_|_|_
_|3|_|_

and I went from bottom up, but the notes also expect you to read them from top to bottom. So I was looking for chimes 5, 2 and 4 in 3rd line instead of 2nd. Another time waster...

So those notes with marks in a grid are mapped onto a chimes.
Starting direction is the only one possible then.
But how do we get location of a first chime - seems some third note is missing?
