There is an even amount of bosses in the game though, so if you kill all of the bosses there would be a tie between the two endings. The Tydeus fight is a tie breaker, his fight gives 1 point more than the others.
So if you kill every boss, you gain one more point for the human ending and you'll get the achievement for it. This also works in reverse for the hero ending.
If you follow the instructions, you'll only gain points towards one of the endings. Unlocking these achievements after killing/sparing every boss stems from the tie breaker scenario. Because there are separate achievements for killing/sparing every boss, this makes it possible to 100% the game in just two playthroughs.
