Not Forever Game

Marvel's Midnight Suns was designed for fresh file gameplay, or NG+ as is clearly demonstrated by this requirement for many Steam achievements to unlock. Also it is evidently considerably better balanced when played this way.

So why not speed run?
Outline
To attempt a speedrun challenge in Marvel's Midnight Suns, you have to complete all story missions, incl. Season Pass and its bonus mission, Dracula's Tomb in 47 days.

This is for fresh file speedruns or NG+ game mode speedruns.

For both, the requirements are the same.
Story Missions > General Missions
Prioritise story missions over general missions; base game story missions ("Lilith's arc") over Season Pass ("Dracula's arc"). Though when playing fresh file, it is possible to play the Season Pass missions that unlock characters before main story missions, if you wish.

The purpose of prioritising like this is to fulfil the requirement of general missions for both story arcs at the same time: two birds, one stone.
Research Requirements
Do Season Pass story missions when there is a research requirement for main stories.
E.g: Dracula's Tomb when researching The Godkiller[marvels-midnight-suns.fandom.com],
Deadliest Sin when researching Symbiote Sampler.
Lord of Darkness whilst researching Demonchylde Suit.
Here Comes the Sun during research for the Gamma Accelerator.
Deadpool > Venom > Morbius > Storm
Lastly, with the exception of DLC final missions (which you should try to do when there's a research requirement to complete) when in doubt over which Season Pass story missions to pick, choose them in the DLC release order.

Daily Grind
Because you are speedrunning, it is essential you are efficient in your daily Abbey routine.
Before Missions
  1. At the Forge:
    1. Build upgrades.
    2. Analyse coils.
    3. Study Artefacts.
    4. Choose Research.
  2. In the War Room:
    1. Build upgrades.
    2. Decrypt intel.
    3. Send heroes on Hero Ops.
  3. In the Yard:
    1. Build upgrades.
    2. Participate in Daily Sparring.
    3. Upgrade cards/abilities.
    4. (If Nico's Combat Therapy is installed) Assign heroes to therapy.
  4. On the Abbey grounds:
Open any (free) chests, for combat items, credits and/or combat bonuses.
Once you are at lvl. 4, common chests will be free to open; at lvl. 5 (max) rare chests as well. For this reason is advantageous to explore as much of the Abbey grounds ASAP.
After Missions
  • Open any unopened chests.
  • Place artefacts in Offering Bowl[marvels-midnight-suns.fandom.com] for a free Arcane Key.
Last but not least, don't forget to pet Charlie and Ebony the cat (if you are lucky enough to hear them "meow").
Mods and Re-rolling
If you speedrun fresh file, the chances are you will be resource poor. At least for everything apart from gloss (which you will have in abundance).

As a result you may not be able to afford to re-roll mods.

However, there are instances where in the myriad of combinations of cards x mods, the mod that is rolled with a card may occasionally be nonsensical.

In this example, Morbius's Mist Form, which is a conceal ability, was rolled with counter, which does not make sense. Morbius is concealed, so won't be able to counter. In such circumstances it would be OK to re-roll this mod, in a speedrun challenge.
Heroes & Friendships
Just like with resources, the time you spend in the Abbey building relationships with heroes will be limited.

Focus on a few. Maybe 4-5 heroes to develop relationships (and abilities).
Ignore the rest.
