Multiverse Launcher

Good afternoon, meet - Multiverse Launcher is a client specifically designed for Populous:
The Beginning, through which Populous fans can play the game with numerous fixes, improvements and new features.

The launcher is also the perfect tool for managing multiple campaigns at once without having to move or replace any original files, removing the legwork of the past so you can focus on playing the game.

Campaign creators can utilise the launcher to customise their campaigns on a completely different level compared to the original game, thanks to its DLL injection process. Campaigns such as Multiverse and Ascension can only be played via the Multiverse Launcher.

Experience an improved version of Populous: The Beginning with 60 frames per second and a modern input system for better mouse precision. Head to battle with thousands of followers at once, witness Shamans casting cataclysmic spells, and experience fluid cinematic battles in brand new campaigns.

After downloading, run the installer and specify your root folder in the path of the game

but now it's better to go to the settings and change them to your liking.
You can change the difficulty to high.... Always play on high!))))
And change to your favourite resolution, but if you are a cyber athlete - put 1280x1024 will not go wrong, it is very convenient.

I don't know what it could be complaining about, everything works fine for me.
Standard api for downloading files, and the complete absence of “.net library” on site.

I tried both links at the start of the process and both links were flagged for suspicious content by malwarebytes. What is on that website to flag consistently like this? After reading on malwarebytes website is may be detecting files attempting to pass as microsoft files.

Thanks so much for the quick replies. I really appreciate it. I was sure I had DEP off but it was actually a DEP issue. Restarting the PC got rid of the admin rights error again, then the Discord support helped point me in the right direction (DEP exception)

you can try installing patches 1.01 and 1.03
This method helped some people.

You can also try installing the gog version:

this is an example of running gog game in steam, if you want you can specify:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Populous 3\namegame.exe" %command%

The strange thing is, I have every exe in the populous 3 folder set to run as administrator, and everything has been installed directly to C:/Steam. It's not installed in Program Files. I've tried reinstalling both Populous and Multiverse multiple times (not in Program Files).

Last time I reinstalled, I wasn't getting this error message anymore but the game wouldn't load (with no error message or popup). Nothing happened at all.

Running in admin mode tends to override that registry message.
My advice would be to reinstall it and install it outside of program files, then install the multiverse launcher

So glad to finally see this on Steam, but I'm getting "Missing or incomplete Registry information. Use C:\POP3.CD as default hard drive path?" Error.

I've set POPTBM.exe to run as administrator. Same error.
