Introduction
Players now have the ability to use the Steam Workshop to upload their custom content created in the Rise of the Triad Ludicrous Development Kit (or LDK as we like to call it!).

This guide will get you up-to-date on all the new bells and whistles the LDK has to offer. However, we won't be covering how to use the mapping tools as there is already plenty of documentation and examples on the forums.

For starters, you're going to want to make sure your Rise of the Triad and LDK are both updated to v1.5. If you're unsure, just verify game files.

Step 1. Setting up the LDK for Workshop uploads
Alright, so you've made a map and you're ready to upload it to the workshop. Great job! We're here to guide you through it. It's much easier than people think!

At this stage, you're LDK most likely looks something like this. Your map needs to be cooked before it's ready to be uploaded.

After you've filled out all of the boxes and cooked your map, the LDK should look something like this.
The "cooking" process will create all of the files required to upload your map to the workshop. Once your LDK looks like the picture on the right, we can continue.
Step 2. Grabbing the files required for the Workshop
Now that your map has been cooked, we need to grab the files required for the uploader. For starters, we need to navigate to where the LDK places all of these files.

Head on over to
Documents\My Games\Rise Of The Triad\ROTTGame\Published\CookedPC
and grab the required files. You're looking for files that follow the naming convention of your map and that end in .rott or .tfc

.rott is your map file, .tfc is your textures and lighting (Not all maps will include .tfc's for texture, if your map does not include one, don't worry. You'll be fine.)

Once you've grabbed those three files, make a copy of them on your desktop.

Next, navigate to your
Documents\My Games\Rise Of The Triad\ROTTGame\Config
Yes, yes...The pain of grabbing files is almost over!

Grab your map's config file (usually named after the map) and make a copy of it on your desktop.
Once this is complete we are ready to continue.
Step 3. File structure and the uploader
Now that you've got all the required files sitting on the desktop, you're ready to package them up and upload them.

In order to upload, you need to copy the file structure that the LDK uses to build maps. To do this, you need to create three folders. Published, CookedPC, and Config

Your .rott and .tfc files will go in the CookedPC folder.
The CookedPC folder will go into the Published folder.
The config file will go in the Config folder.

Next take these two folders and dump them in a .zip (The workshop uploader only accepts .zip)

Once this is complete we are ready to continue.
Step 4. Uploading to the Workshop
Well, our time together is almost over. It has been fun old friend...but I understand, you want to get moving and play your new map!

Good thing we're almost done...

Head back into your LDK launcher and look for the big Steam icon. It's really hard to miss, so we provided a picture for you!

Once we're in, we should see something that looks like this.
This is where all of your map information should go. Give your creation a title, tell us a bit about it, upload a picture, and of course, upload that .zip we created earlier!

Once you've got everything all set up, it should look something like this.

Now all you have to do is click upload and you're done! Your map is now on the Rise of the Triad Steam Workshop and is ready for download! Get Ludicrous!
