Abstract
Introduces penalties for XCOM for finishing the month with negative supply drop income.

Overview
Finishing the month with a negative supply drop income is something which is very rare, but CAN happen in XCOM2 WOTC. This mod intorudces a sequence of penalties that will be applied to the player for achieving this:
  • If the player has excess supplies, there will be an attempt to cover the debt from the excess supplies.
  • Failing that, if there is a supply drop cache on the map, there will be an attempt to cover the debt using it.
  • Failing that, XCOM will try to cover its debt by disbanding some of its items, starting from the cheaper ones.
  • Failing that, XCOM will have to start murdering laying off some its soldiers.
  • If XCOM is still unable to cover its debt after getting rid of all the soldiers, the game is lost.
Obviously, in an honest game, a player is very unlikely to see past the second bullet in this list, if even that.

Configuration
The configuration is in the file XComBankrupcy (the error is within the source). This allows the player to control:
  • Whether items are sold from the cheapest first, or from the most expensive first.
  • Control the modifier to the sell price of the items (normally it's just the sell price to the black market).
  • The amount of supplies each soldier sells for.
  • Whether soldiers are laid off from the top or from the bottom, experience-wise.

Compatibility
The Supply losses from Continent Heat in Lightweight Strategy Overhaul are not a part of this system, unfortunately.

Required Mods
Yes.

Known Issues
No known issues, but this is a somewhat innovative mod. This mod has logging turned on so you can keep track of the computations done.

Wouldn't know about LWOTC based environments, but it's a very normal position in high level play for some packs, and factored into the experience.

Isn't an issue, just means people need to make sure their meta-economies are well balanced in the first instance so that what is sold either way is correct for the play environment =)

running out of supplies - sure. Running out of supplies and having negative income? not really

@LordAbizi - running out of supplies is pretty common and balanced for in many packs with altered themes, but thank you for your time.

Right now items will be sold either by cheapest first, or most expensive first, depending on configs. I don't plan to add any more sophisticated logic to this: the odds of it actually happening in a game are so low, that I don't see the point (which is true for this mod as a whole).

Question: Can items specify type in order by templates?

Concerned players may lose useful things before items they would of sold on black market if they'd of been more observant.

Another new kind of pain. At this point with all these pain mod, we're making the game so much more realistic. We now have a Realism difficulty for every difficulty.

Just what I needed to make the game more painful.

Cue the cut scene of Bradford panhandling in an ADVENT city, selling frag grenades and scopes.
