Tips, yes, there are many! The first thing is to assemble the panels, rails and paths, what I say sounds like a novice, but having the planned schematic drawing helps a lot instead of improvising step by step. Creating small scenes, with two or three panels, can be more attractive and gives more details to the layout. Take your time, don't try to rush the end.
