Use Proton 4.11-13, and you may use the native resolution of 1280x800.

  • Open the Properties of the game.
  • Open the Compatibility page.
  • Enable the Force use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool.
  • Select Proton 4.11-13.
  • Launch the game with the Configuration option, available when selecting Play, and use the game's configuration tool to select a resolution of 1280x800.
  • Enable Direct 3D.
  • Disable Resolution Switching.
