I'm intrigued.

I think this could be better. Lines are very off. If you would like respectfully I can show you how to do it much better

Nah, you're not disrespectful at all. I love being asked these kinds of questions questions and being able to honestly, freely answer them.

While aphantasia may not affect my creative thinking, it makes it practically impossible for me to physically visualise objects*. At most, I'm able to describe things to myself by remembering how they should look with words instead of visually seeing how they look in my mind.

This is rarely a problem, although for art and many styles, it makes it very hard to imagine a final product and how such a thing is made, leaving me really slow at starting art and causing lots of small but important mistakes in perspective and design.

This style of art is a great way to cope with that, as quite often mistakes can easily be integrated into the design and it's quite simple to create, using illusions and architecture instead of detailed character designs or environments.

*It doesn't get rid of dreams or terrors though. This is because dreaming uses a different part of the brain, which aphantasia doesn't affect (in my case).

Btw, how bad is the aphantasia? I don't really know anyone with aphantasia (exept you) and im not a doctor so i don't know much about it. Sorry if i seem a little disrespectful

Well, try to pursue your passions, im not trying to force you to draw. Sorry about the aphantasia. And good luck with programming, you are probably more experienced with it than me though

Thank you for taking your time to write this all.

To explain though, I really don't consider myself an artist (in this sense, anyway) and I don't want to be one either. I have bigger passions and talents for programming, especially when it comes to game engines and everything about gameplay.

I draw to waste time, in a way, and these simple lines mixed with the geometry create something that looks hard to make, but honestly isn't. My aphantasia makes it hard for me to envision art, and this style lets me create anything at my own pace without having to worry about planning things out beforehand.

You could maybe try stepping out of your comfort zone to draw something else, but don't be harsh on yourself. Even the best of the best artists have imposter syndrome. If someone has 10 drawings, they probably don't like at least 3 of them. When i started drawing i always threw alot of my drawings away because i didn't like them. Then i became unmotivated. But then i started again, and i at some point just understood that not all drawings will be perfect. And even when i don't draw often anymore, i can tell you: if you keep trying you will become better at it. Yeah but the drawing is still good, the other ones you have showcased are also "der dicke shiba approved" or what you wanna call it

Probably a few days. I'm very casual with my art; my only experience is with lineart and geometrically abstract pieces, meaning anything I draw that doesn't match the style in this image usually looks awful.

Very cool, Der dicke Shiba approves of this. How long did this take you?
