Why are you writing this guide?
I enjoy helping others by writing about technical topics to a higher standard and provide key findings for a higher chance of success!

Who is the intended audience?
The guide is for everyone, but much friendlier to new players. Everything will be explained to be on the same level as those who are the most experienced. The writing will be easy to follow with plenty of screenshots for those who are too lazy to read everything!
How a Redo Works
The current save file will update every time the team moves to a new location tile or finishing a battle.

The Alt & F4 will give a fresh redo before the last current event.
Selecting the Optimal Team
A full party of 4 members is strongly recommended for finishing essential projects upon return.

The default party has a 2.5 gunner rating because of 2x 80-aim, 1x 60-aim, and 1 melee.

Note: The Left 4 Dead team is best with starting 4.0 gunner rating and some research bonus.
Survivor Stat Assignment
After each expedition, survivors will gain experience and level up to distribute stat points.
Anyone with a higher Aim base needs to max it first then Speed.

Note: Everyone else that include melee fighters need to invest all points in Build/Search.
Faster Weapon Upgrades
A total of 6 gun manuals are needed to research the final tier 3 weapons.

These books can be obtained at a higher rate if lucky with scavenging corpses.
Ranged Weapons Are the Better Choice
The chemistry of the expedition team works much better with ranged weapons because each survivor is able to cover for the other before Zeds get too close.

The team will most likely be exploring locations and are constantly on the move. Such combat maneuvers will concentrate on shoot and move tactics, especially for tough Zeds and bosses.

Note: Melee fighters are unable to provide supporting fire to the rest unless guarding a static chokepoint.
Weapon Mechanics
A larger magazine size is best for the most encountered common enemy.
The range is second important as the weapon can deal damage before the enemy closes in.

Note: The weapon damage only matters with the minority bosses and high-health Zeds.
General Combat Mechanics
Three of the 4 survivors will be creating a safe space by keeping the zombie mobs down. Their role is to provide covering fire for the scavenger with preferably long-range automatics mixed with the optional rifle.

They should occupy the first three slots to better manage them and also reload if necessary during non-combat intervals.

The best formation is to set up in front of a doorway or behind an object to create a bottleneck. Weapons that deal knockback or penetration is best used for larger zombies or bosses.
Role: The Scavenger
This role usually searches all objects of interest and spends less time fighting.
The preferred slot is the 4th for easier selection and usually has a higher searching stat than the rest.

Note: The preferred weapon is the shotgun when there is not enough assault rifles.
Identifying Weapon-containing Objects
Weapon cases and ammunition crates usually have a randomized weapon.
They can spawn at any location and are not restricted with gun stores and police stations.
Role: Sniper (Optional)
Only one survivor who can reload on the move should equip the rifle as an alternative to the SMG. The long-range rifle is particularly effective against bandits who have Glocks.
Scouting
The default mode that is usually triggered by zombie ambushes and is not recommended to investigate new locations due to lower loot.

There is no complex maneuvering in this mode because it is in a small fixed area with street barricades. The primary goal is to search the loot with covering fire before the timer expires.
Exploration: The 4 Corners
This type of maneuver is recommended when zombie infestation is high.
The open area gives more space to avoid damage and deal with advanced Zeds.
Exploration: Entrance Clearing
The starting Zeds are normally inside the building that walk out from it.
The formation is usually a straight line parallel to the opening unless there is a melee survivor.
Exploration: Inner Room Clearing
Zeds are unpredictable where they come from as there are doorways on almost all sides.
The best approach is to quickly relocate after scavenging the objects of interest.
The survivors with longest range must be positioned in the center that aligns with the doorways.
Bosses
These zombies spawn only once per location, have a "Boss" tag, and have high health. They roam with other regular zombies, which makes focus firing more difficult if the infestation is high.

The survivors need to have movement speed upgraded to sustain fire while retreating to avoid being hurt.
Gear: Reflex Sight
A basic equipment for firearms to be fired slightly faster.
The survivor who can move and reload should equip this if zombie hordes are getting more difficult.
Basic Weapons
The MP5 is the best basic weapon until assault rifles of tier 2 weapons.
Tier II Weapons
The M4A1 is the best assault rifle (AR) with the longest range for an automatic.
The second best weapon in this class is the Scar for its higher damage per round.
These ARs will most likely serve until the end of the game as Tier 3 weapons will be trickier to find.
MG Combo
The final tier MG is the SAW with the highest magazine capacity of 100 rounds!
The best paired survivor is one who can reload while on the move.
The three who can are SWAT, Police Officer, and Detective.
Sniper Combo
The final tier rifle is the Barrett with the longest range and magazine size for its class!
The best paired survivor is one who can reload while on the move or better vision.
Bill's enhanced vision allows first strike faster than anyone else equipped with the same rifle.
Epilogue
The survivors must take down as much zombies per location to slow the infestation from growing!. Their permanent hunger for brains will eventually be resolved with copious amount of delicious lead!
