Description
Common infected without the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

So what's up with this?
This is a set of mutations that I have created for one simple purpose: to have gameplay featuring only common infected. So what's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you ask? Well, unlike every other "common infected only" mutation/mod I can find: this one features none of the following extra crap:
  • NO common infected buffs/nerfs
  • NO survivor buffs/nerfs
  • NO changes to weapons spawns/stats
  • NO mandatory Tanks or Witches
  • Gameplay changes do not leak into other gamemodes
That's right, this is completely vanilla gameplay, except with no special infected whatsoever. And that includes on custom events and finales. So no getting stuck at events because the Director is waiting for you to kill a Tank that never existed to begin with.

That all being said, this version provides the following modes...


Realism Horde Walker
Realism rules are in effect. There are no special infected. No other changes have been made to gameplay. Take things slow if you like, but don't get lost! All the fun of regular realism without the stress of getting grabbed somewhere all alone.



Realism Horde Runner
Realism rules are in effect. There are no special infected. As soon as you leave the safe zone, mobs will start attacking without breaks. You REALLY can't kill them all this time, so get running! Luckily they aren't any harder to run away from, although they aren't any easier either!



Realism Horde Sprinter
Realism rules are in effect. There are no special infected. Common infected will begin rushing you the instant you leave the saferoom, will never stop spawning for any reason, and will prefer to spawn directly in your way. Keep a close eye on your teammates, you'd hate to lose them in the crowd...

Known Issue:
  • VGUI graphics are temporary placeholders that I'll get to later.
  • If you begin a custom scripted finale or event (i.e. Swamp Fever's finale) while a currently running panic event is waiting to end, then the currently spawned infected will count toward's the finale's first panic wave, causing it to end prematurely. This currently only affects the Horde Sprinter mutation.
I know about this problem, but this is literally my first second time writing in Squirrel so if there's some fix to this I'm not bothered enough to figure it out.
