This guide is about the eighth and final arc in the very long Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni / Higurashi When They Cry series, if by some chance you've found this guide before playing through the enitrety of all 7 other chapters of Higurashi, oh my god click away now this is full of spoilers that will dampen the mystery for you.

Okay, anyway, welcome to my guide. I had trouble reading the way guides to this were written in places like the When They Cry wiki (check it out BTW its great) so I decided to make my own to help people like me read through this part of Matsuribayashi without going mad.

This order mostly follows the same as the one required for the secret ending but I made slight adjustments to pair up fragments that I felt made more sense to be after one another, eg: the fragments of the other arcs are in release order in this.

F refers to the order of the fragments from F01 being the first fragment on the first page to F50 being the 2nd fragment on page 7

P refers to a fragment's page number and the second number refers to its position on the page as follows:
