Hearts & Chests locations Guide [with Images & Videos]

Heart formations and treasure locations

A guide for finding hearts more easily! Specially useful to new players.

Extra Max HP is a pickup which increases your maximum HP by 25 HP, without healing them. It has the appearance of a large red heart with a golden border, as well as a plus sign in the upper right corner. If you have picked the Stronger Hearts perk, maximum health will increase by 50Icon hp template heart.png or more instead, depending on how many stacks of the perk you have. If you have picked Glass Cannon, this pickup has no effect and a message will be displayed stating that "some sort of curse" blocked the HP increase.

Extra Max HP containers can be found:

- Randomly generated in the world
- Inside Treasure Chests
- Familiar Orbs of True Knowledge
- In the Dark Cave
- Dropped by most mini-bosses when killed
- Dropped by Jättimato with a 50% chance. ( Giant worms )

Part of the World generation includes tiles that might spawn an Extra Max HP (30% chance), a Treasure Chest (40% chance), or nothing (30% chance).

Mod

There is a very useful Heart Formation Trainer Mod that "Adds light and particle effects to heart formations for the purpose of helping you learn to recognize them." made by noSpace. This could help along this guide to recognize the patterns in your world generation.

Disclaimer 2:

Your dedication to Noita's community has been immense and wholesomely rewarding! We could have an update after the solar eclipse! Epilogue 2 ! This new light on the game makes me very happy! I've always talked about how Noita is a criminally underrated roguelike and -without a doubt- one of the best singleplayer games OF ALL TIME for that matter.

Thanks! Yea I wanted to access to the wiki pages in-game but since there wasn't any guide I decided to make it myself haha. It was in fact lot of work but it was fun.

About the modding. I try to play the game full vanilla because when the run ends you have a disclaimer that indicates the run was modded. I don't like that and I'm sure some people don't like it too lol

However personally, I'm just gonna stick with the light up hearts mod. I shall tailor the game the way I like to play it.
