w4stedspace - 4p Trackmania Style Race Track/Assault Course

Omschrijving
The world to accompany this video from my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZIy37qD1FY

With a very random and kinda hard Trackmania style race track (assault course?) with multiple cars, obstacles and other features. Gravity spread as such that the cars actually funtional although I would recommend you ctrl-c a copy of your vehicle before starting a lap "just in case" :P

My best time for a complete lap is 7m23s, any takers? :)

For more information about how it works please watch the video above.

@Blako I most certainly will, sounds like some cool testing and will be very interested to see how it handles as a result. Thanks for taking the time to have a play around and then actually let me know the resutls! Will let you know what I think :)

I took your car and opened the console moving all your tunings up and down by one percent. This applied the numbers you had put in and the car suddenly had more traction, sensitive turning, and improved acceleration. Set a time of 5:55

Saving your settings of strength, dampening, friction, and power
Fronts @ 30,20,20,100
Rears @ 30,20,50,100

I proceeded to test your car and ran with
Fronts @ 50,60,20,35
Rears @ 50,70,35,65

Poor turning radius? Boosted rear power
Sensitive steering? Cut front wheel friction

In conclusion: It is possible to make an enjoyable car but it does take a lot of testing. Thank you for making a track that shows weaknesses in my designs. I request that you try the multi-tuning car I have been working on.

Nice :) Talk about a re-purpose!

I use these fine automobiles as movable security camera's wherever I have gravity...As I hide deep in my asteroid lair.

Put a tower on them, 4 camers in each cardinal direction, then a rotor and one more on a block atop that, for a 360 degree pan.

Oh right, lol... :)

Parking Brake =p

Pretty much yeah, getting consistent results is tricky.. best method I've found (since this video) is having a lot of gyro's and maybe also some thrusters pointing upwards only, let's dampers help counter the crazy bounce.

Any Idea how yo get wheeled vehicles to actually move? Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, irelevant to the settings i choose. Are they just broken?
