The FWS-998, dubbed "Firecage" class battlecruiser is a macabre mix of several old world ship classes and silhouettes, excelling at all roles of it's predacessors. Littoral strikes, artillery support, precision strikes, anti ship warfare, reconnisance warfare, the list goes on. The firecage class of battlecruisers hosts most of the utility and CIC capabilities of an entire subfleet within it's hull, including widespread ECM jamming, ballistic interception, and the well proven "Iron wall" Anti CRAM recoil-less cannon turrets. It is equipped with nine 322mm plasma based propellant cannons across three turrets. it's ballistic munition is comprised of sixteen LR-SLASM-991A "Kaeipel" long range strike warhead missiles, as well as 40 deck mounted DC-MRMP-683 Python shock missiles. It is capable of rapid refitting of target guidance of the Kaeipel missiles if the mission demands so. All of this utility does not come cheap or without resources to spare, as due to the Firecage classes exuberant cost, there is a limited amount of these vessels employed by the Farzian Naval Defensive Ensemble, mainly being reserved to specialist fleet assignments and the occasional naval show.
