Bond of Onaman: Late Game Guide
By Necrobern
Holoparade can be quite stressful in late game given how some enemies can wipe out your whole army on their own. The solution? Take advantage of the Holomembers' passives.

About
When Holoparade came out, I made a guide* involving my main oshi Korone. However, two things happened:

1) It chokes hard in very end game, like stage 5-10

2) A huge update that completely overhauls the entire game's playstyle

That old guide is still helpful for early game and some tough levels, but not that much when some content is designed with the new mechanics.

The bad news is that Korone while still a strong unit is not as helpful. The good news is that another oshi becomes a key part of the game's passives.

The Team

The elephant in the room about this team is the gacha system. You might or might not have the shown units, specially how rough can be to farm tickets.

The good news is that although this guide focuses arround three holomembers, Noel is the minimum requirement. And that's because how passives work.

Your winning condition is to achieve the Bond of Onaman passive (AKA Big titty trio), granting all units an attack boost. However, Special Lid is what will carry the team 90% of the time, as with its defensive boost along the other symphonies will make all your units quite tanky, to the point you might not rely on a healer at times.

Remember to toggle the symphonies to have the right effects when forming this team, as well using the recommended Support Cards.

Now to present the members

Nousagi compensates its frail stats with an incredibly cheap cost, allowing it to become spammable in the late parts of a stage. However, the true selling point is its Symphony, granting a movement speed to all units. This allows us to keep the pressure at all times, and due its cost if we run out of Nousagis we can just spawn one and keep the buff going.

Knight is another cheap unit to spam with, but slightly tankier to survive more hits. But this is another unit that sells you more with its buffs, as is a key part to activating the Special Lid passive along Noel. I am going to spoiler that most of the units here provide defensive buffs, so Knight becomes top priority to spawn along Noel to keep the tankiness as enemies will barely break through our units.

Bubba is a must have in any team you make, even if you completely ignore this one. Along sturdy stats Bubba grants more Motivation production, and thus allowing you to make more units, increasing its bonus effect, and thus speeding up the process to spawn further. Try to always have one present at all costs.

Chocolat is another important unit no matter what your team or oshis are. Stays away of battle while healing your units, going further if you can spawn more of them. Despite its vital role in any team Chocolat is not a top priority in this strategy thanks to Noel's passive and other defensive buffs, giving you some breathing time to manage the stage until you find a chance to spawn it. Lastly, let's not forget that healers in general can heal the flag, giving you some breathing space when enemies start piling together.

Mochi Nousagi hides in the New Year stage as a strong unlockable. Providing both offense and defense, the latter even more with its symphony. However, compared to the spammable units or the likes of Bubba and Chocolat providing important roles, Mochi doesn't need to hit the battlefield ASAP until we need to push further.

Lamy is the ace unit in this team. A long range unit that temporarily freezes enemies is incredibly powerful, specially as this ability gets stronger the more duplicates you get of her. Even a few seconds is enough for our army to recover and/or take down frozen enemies. The main problem however is that she gets a bit too close to danger despise being a long range attacker, so make sure to have defensive buffs active and/or a Chocolat on her side.

Noel is a tanky unit, that will become even sturdier once her passive and other symphonies are active. MAKE SURE TO PUT HER A LOW COST (UNLEASH OFF), as despite being a more fragile form you want all defensive buffs as stacked as her chest. If she goes down her low cost will let her come back right away, keeping all buffs active for as long as possible. She's a must have for this strategy even if you replace other holomembers.

Marine is known for being of the strongest long range units in the game. Her cannon can deal with terrible bosses, special Red and Blue ones, making some fights not as difficult. This is specially the case if you achieve the Onaman buff, nuking the biggest threats on her own as Lamy freezes them and Noel tanks all hits.
Before We Begin
First of all we must mention the two types of stage the game has: Normal Parade and Flag.

Normal Parade is usually pretty safe and nothing unusual besides some aura enemies every now and then. You might need to use the cutting board now and then and that's it.

Flag on the other hand, needs to point two things for the right mindset.

- You and the enemy side basically have two barriers (The flag and A-chan). If the flag is taken down on your side don't panic, specially since you are compensated with Motivation points and you can immediately summon an array of units right away.

- On the other hand, if the enemy's flag goes down it will spawn a boss which can range from just a big enemy, to a troublesome one like Shubangelion. This means that DON'T RUSH TO TAKE DOWN THEIR FLAG, as you'll force out the boss while unprepared to deal with it. We need also to point out to AVOID RANGE LEVEL 5 WITH A-CHAN, as her beams will attack the flag and spawn the bosses way ahead of time. Take your time to prepare a strong army before they push forward. And make sure the cutting board is ready to deploy once the boss comes out.

After this quick PSA, let's go to the main point of this guide.
The Strategy

The screenshot here shows you the order you should spawn the units (From left to right). The only exception is if you prefer to summon Noel or Mochi first, depending of the current situation of needing more offense (Mochi) or defensive buffs (Noel).

However, here's the biggest advice no matter what: SUMMON A NEW UNIT AS SOON ONE IS DEFEATED. Keeping the Symphonies and passives active is vital for this team to work. Noel and other units makes your team tanky, Bubba increases Motivation points, and a single Chocolat will keep your army alive. Even if is a Nousagi down, making your units faster is important to keep the pressure. It will be a struggle to summon Lamy or Marine if your army falls apart.

This team is designed towards end game, so you should also have a handful of bonuses from just playing. Either by pulling characters in the gacha or just increasing your player level, some farming alone can make things easier by that fact alone.

With that out of the way, let's go with

The Plan

1) A-Chan can become a solid offense if you get lucky, as her buffs are up to RNG. Your main goal with her is to focus on these buffs: Attack Ratio, Attack Target, Ignore Block, and Range. This last one shouldn't go beyond Level 4, as will make A-Chan attack the enemy flag (if any) and make any bosses spawn way before we are prepared to deal with them.

If none of those buffs appear, pick attack against whichever auras are prominent in that stage. If the RNG hates you and for several levels is all defensive skills or auras that aren't in the stage, simply restart the stage given you just started.

For now A-Chan should be Level 4 (Normal Parade) or Level 5 (Flag) before moving to the next step. A-Chan skills will remain active in Endless Trial.

2) Time to start spawning our units. Nousagi and Knight are clearly the first ones, following with Bubba as its Symphony will start producing Motivation quickly. Try to always have atleast one of them active so Motivation production keeps going, so at any given chance spawn Chocolat if the enemy offense is too tough. You can also use this time to max out A-Chan's attacks, but never put Range Level 5 if a flag is present on the stage. If there's a major enemy threat, summon cheap units to overwhelm them, and as you keep spamming you can bring a Mochi or Noel eventually.

3) Time for Noel to appear, probably along Mochi. These two will start pushing forward a lot, as their offense along passives will make your army hard to break through. Always keep minimum one unit each active, specially Knight since is vital for Noel's passive.

4) Wamy time. She's actually quite fast, joining our army almost right away (Specially with a Nousagi present), she will keep enemies at bay with her freezing attacks. Nothing much else but be on guard to spawn fresh units when needed, and the potential threat that could spawn soon or later.

5) Marine is the last step, and if you did everything right the Bond of Onaman along all the defensive buffs will make your army indestructible. However, don't let your guard down, as units can still take damage, and Noel might need to be respawn right away depending of the circumstances.

6) Time to go all out. Use your support cards as soon the boss appears, as Superchat and your passive buffs will nuke it away. You also have to spawn as many units as possible for a final push, with Nousagis and Knights being the priority given their cheap cost and thus create dozens of them at once, or a second Chocolat to turn your army invincible. There might be a stage that the big boss appears before Marine can out, so instead focus on spamming the cheapest units, gradually charging enough motivation for the bigger ones.

Congrats. You won with the power of Elf, Knight, and Pirate tiddy.

Notable Dangers and Alternative Plays

This team has very few weaknesses as soon all buffs are always on, but you still have to be careful with some aspects of a stage.

- Red and Black Aura enemies tend to be highly aggresive with high movement and rapid attacks. A boss with one of these auras can wipe out your army in no time if unprepared. Stage 5-10 is nefarious for this, so try to have Chocolat and Noel's buffs active before making these bosses appear.

- Stalling is always helpful. Use your own flag to wall enemies, spam Nousagis and Knights to keep the defensive along a Bubba or Noel, or prioritize Chocolat before anyone else (aim for two if able). You can also max out A-Chan's attacks during this time, but again, never go Range Level 5. If things are going south and the flag goes down, bring out Marine first as most likely will take care of the most troublesome enemies in that situation.

- Shubangelion is not a threat for your Holomembers, but rather your small units. This can cause a domino effect where all buffs and passive go away, and thus its punches wipe away your units. Either keep those units alive, spawn them back to the field, or spam Nousagis and Knights to support Noel specifically. In some cases against bosses like Shubangelion, you'll have to skip summoning Marine and instead aim for a big number of units to overwhelm the bosses.

- If Lamy and others aren't your cup of tea or worse, not your oshi(s), then simply experiment with other Holomembers. This also applies if you don't have any of the three titty holomembers, so experiment with passives. A strong recommendation you'll see arround is to simply use Flare along a variety of cheap units, or try experimenting with the passives and see if you get a playstyle more suitable for the occasion. Speaking of alternatives, we can move on to
Alternative Units
Sorry for repeating myself over and over, but this team so far works as long you keep the buffs active. However, you might struggle towards that goal, or you haven't pulled the units to do so. Here I'll highlight some alternatives you could consider.

Udin is able to stay alive for quite a while as defeats small enemies with a single swipe. One or two of them can keep tanking several enemies until you get some prep time.

Pioneer is a personal favorite, and often used in various Hololive streams. Combines high speed to be on the battlefield instantly, with knockback attacks that will briefly stun enemies. Is a bit fragile so bosses can take care of it in no time, but if you need to push is wonderful to spam several at once.

Azki is a powerful healer as is able to cast 3-4 heals in a single attack of hers. If combined with Pioneer she'll grant your army a movement speed passive, making your offense go lightspeed to gather together. She also tries to keep some distance away from danger, only taking damage if a boss will push our army back. Given with Unleash off she costs as much as Chocolat it might be worth try her out, but her HP becomes way lower than the alternative.

Korone being my main oshi has some bias, but despite losing her pressence in this team is nonetheless a strong choice. Despite being frail to the point some bosses can defeat her in three hits, her fast movement and knockback attacks that keeps enemies on check makes her a very powerful offense to rely on. Not only that, but she actually grants a bonus skill in combination with the Onaman trio, giving us access to Yakamashi-Musume.

For eight seconds your entire army obtains a 30% attack boost, more than enough to wipe out all enemies in those few seconds. In combination with Onaman's passive and Superchat if available, a well timed Yakamashi becomes an instant victory in any stage.
Epilogue and Disclaimers

This is not an AFK strat. There's still levels where the team can struggle, forcing you to make different decissions or, in the worst case, replace your oshis with other units. My first Holoparade guide was focused on Korone, and after several big updates I had to move with Lamy. Although as pointed out, both along the big tiddy holomembers can work together in some sort of Exodia team formation, so is not a big loss on my part.

This guide and the old one centers arround oshis, not Meta Tier 0 100% Win Ratio stuff. Gacha is evil and might place you Lamyless for days. Maybe your oshi is Sora or Ame, and thus there will be a team build somewhere that piles their passives with other units. Or I might find a stage or two weeks later where is impossible to win with this strategy and thus back to the drawing board. I might even need more copies of the holomembers to complete challenges, specially Lamy since her freezing attacks are stronger the more dupes of her you pull. If you want a big recommendation, try to atleast aim for the Noel buffs, then experiment with other characters. With the Unleash mechanic you don't need to stick with 2-3 Holomembers, granting you full creative access of how to make your team.
