I thought it would be helpful to share my notes:


Hopefully it's self explanatory. You can print it out if you want to.

I personally prefer to produce everything in moderation,
but I really focus on the crops I use the most:

* Timothy Hay
* Corn, Barley, Wheat, Milo
* Watermelon

I only have 2 Apple Trees, the rest is Pear Trees.
You can't delete Apple Trees once planted - so be careful how many you want!

You can grow yourself a "safety net" of crops for your own use and then produce for money.
As you can see, some of the weaker/cheaper crops (Oats, Carrots) can turn out quite useful moneywise, because they have more seasons and use less time to grow.

Don't forget that these numbers are per field - you can have 24 farm plots and 8 orchard plots!
That's a lot of money per year...

Now let's talk seasons:


You can grow Orchard Grass and Oats during all warm seasons.
Carrots are growing whole year around, so if you want them, plant them in Winter when everything else can't grow!
If you are short on something you can always use the Shield Fertilizer off season.

Wheat, Barley, Corn
as well as
Cucumber, Pumpkin, Watermelon
only have one season to grow.
Make the most of their season!

I NEVER sell manure - make your own fertilizer instead (now in your inventory!) - it's much more useful.

Keep your Rich Fertilizer for your Watermelons since they are the most expensive!
You can fertilize them up to 9 watermelons per field!

The Trees seem to be expensive at first, but don't waste too much space for Apple Trees.
The Pear Trees give you better outcome in energy and money!

If you need more cheap Straw, just buy the cheapest seeds (Orchard Grass) and plant them in Winter - they can't grow and will turn into 5x Straw after a day!

Never gather anything again... and don't forget to fertilize. ^^
