Sounds of the Infected [MANUAL INSTALLATION]

Descriere
Sounds of the infected is meant to be used with The Last of Us Infected. Needs to be manually installed by clients, there is no point in activating this mod in your mod list or installing it on your server.

Thanks to Zenith for giving me the authorization to repost the mod. The reason I did so is to make sure people don't download the original TLOU Infected when downloading the old sound mod but overall it's the same mod and all credit for the sounds goes to Zenith.


Requires manual installation of the sound files !
Sounds need to be installed client side by each players. Installing the sounds on the server itself is useless.

How to install the sounds
  1. Download the Sounds of the Infected mod.

  2. Go to (May vary depending on your steam folder and game installation disk)
    Windows:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\3240134012\mods\The Last of Us Infected - Sounds\SOUNDS FOR MANUAL INSTALLATION\

    Mac:
    ----/Users/user/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/108600/3240134012/mods/The Last of Us Infected - Sounds/SOUNDS FOR MANUAL INSTALLATION
    (need confirmation this is the usual folder you find workshop mods)

  3. Copy ZomboidSound.bank

  4. Go to
    Windows:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\media\sound\banks\Desktop

    Mac:
    ----/Users/user/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/ProjectZomboid/Project Zomboid.app/Contents/Java/media/sound/banks

  5. Make a backup of ZomboidSound.bank in the game's folder if you want to easy change back to the vanilla sounds of the zombies

  6. Replace ZomboidSound.bank with the mod's version of it
How to uninstall the sounds
To uninstall the sounds, you either have to replace the sounds with a backup or verify game files to reset your game files.

If you have problems with downloading the sounds from the Workshop (this can happen sometimes as the file is very heavy), you can get the file from the Discord:
  1. Join the Project Overgrown Discord[discord.gg]
  2. Access the channel sounds-of-the-infected[discord.com]
  3. Download the files from the mega link in the channel
