Description
What is this mod?:
This is a small revival & fix of the Androids Expanded by Ratzfatz that uses assets from Silfae's Animated Synthetics Portraits - Expanded. This mod, like the original, is largely cosmetic only.

Updates, Tweaks & Fixes:
  • Fixed: Known issues with hair, rendering them invisible and unable to be selected.

  • Fixed: The recent 3.12 patch. Species was in game, but unable to be selected in Empire Creation Screen.

  • Addition: Added a set of hair in 4 colours for the "Male" Androids Body type.

21/3/2025:
  • Fixed: Fixed Compatibility of this Mod and Machine Age DLC, should now be able to select Individualistic Machines and/or Gestalt Consciousness.

  • Fixed: Removed duplicates of already existing, vanilla Machine portraits, and fixed the vanilla portraits from being prevented from being selected as Individualist Machines.
Notes:
This mod shall remain largely untouched, but do have thoughts of adding/tweaking clothing and adding additional hairstyles in future, but have no set plans for now.

Should be compatible for v3.12 and all subsequent versions above, at least until another update that changes the species portraits (again...) As with previous versions of this mod, it may be flagged as for an older version of the game, but should still work.

Okay- should be fixed now. But I can't confirm on my end. My Local version (as it's uploader) works, but I can't seem to use the Steam version, but a friend of mine can. He however does not have the Machine Age DLC so if anyone else can confirm if it works for them with the DLC?

@Azurekitsune take a look, becasue it has a strange bug where the machine city and machine ship does not appear while creating a new empire. And the portraits, it is separeded from machines, individual machines, and synthetic... all of them are merge (that was the last time i used the mod after Synth-Age)

Right. As of today (Thank you Spring Sale!~) I have the Machine Age DLC, however I do not see what about the portraits are broken due to the updates prior mentioned. I am still able to find them in the 'Machine' species category, and make leaders with the options available. Is anyone able to elaborate further on how they are broken?

Last update broke all portrait mod . Can't play anymore :(
I tried to make some of them to work but failed miserably (as i'm not a modder) . Dont know what to do :'(

While I am unable to speak for the rest of my compatriots in the comment section (or all of Steam for that matter), the portrait set is all I'm personally interested. My own attempts to create an ad-hoc solution of "reconditioning" the portraits to work with the 3.12 updates failed miserably. I'm personally unconcerned with the Origin or the various species traits featured in it.

But regardless of whatever choice you make, I still nonetheless appreciate your reply. And for considering doing so.

i figured out why i couldnt get it to work. it conflicts with "More Events Mod" since they have portraits added aswell and they seem to use the same slot as this one. im by no means a modder for stellaris but thats what i could garther from my limited testing and knowlegde
