@Tenth Doctor; You're very welcome. You may want to give the current release of Sailwind a try as a brand new large ship just got released, a 4-masted Junk. Its a very big and impressive ship, but not as fast as the original 3-masted Junk. But a huge boat with tons of cargo room.

"Discovered method of update prevention didn't seem to work for me. I will be removing it from the guide later. I apologize for the false information."
The BEST method is to have this version of Sailwind (or any other version FTM) in its own separate directory outside of anything Steam and preferably outside of Program Files. I suggest making a GAMES folder on the root drive or on an external drive and run the game from there. Example: C:\GAMES\Sailwind0171 - where the numbers correspond to the game version. Make a shortcut to Sailwind from the custom directory to your desktop and we're good to go! No Steam required whatsoever! And certainly no Steam bloat and overhead running in the background either. Happy Sailing!😎⛵️
Happy to help.
I cannot thank you enough, I was about to uninstall the game. Thank you, man.
