What we will be using (NvTrueHDR)
Hades II does not have native HDR support as of now, and the only way we can run the game with HDR is to use either third party software, or as this guide goes over, using Nvidia's built-in driver RTX HDR filters. These will take our image and approximate an HDR output.

NvTrueHDR is an online tool that enables hidden driver settings that allow us to use Nvidia's filter on any supported games, and Hades II happens to be one of them.

Keep in mind, this method is not perfect. The HDR filter may wash out some colors on bright spots and is overall not very friendly to the games' artstyle.

Here is a video going more in-depth over the tool

Downloading and using NvTrueHDR
You can download NvTrueHDR from the authors' page on Nexus Mods with the link provided below:

Download NvTrueHDR[www.nexusmods.com]

  • Extract the tool anywhere and run it (NvTrueHDR.exe), it will open up a Terminal window.
  • Locate where your game is installed, by default it should be under (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hades II\Ship)
  • Drag the Hades2.exe file into the window opened by NvTrueHDR and press enter.
  • When prompted, type in your quality setting. Hades II is very easy to run so VeryHigh should be optimal on most systems.

Now you should be all set, and the next time you launch the game the filter should be applied!
