Want to run the game at higher resolution than 1080p? Well with this guide you'll run that game at 1440p or even 4K, with option of 8xMSAA and 16xAF if you'd like! Easy with just downloading one program.

How to do it
1. Download dgVoodoo 2, the latest stable version: https://dege.fw.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2/
2. Extract the contents anywhere you want
3. Copy and paste following files to the location of "DS.exe":
- "dgVoodooCpl.exe"
- Go into "MS" folder and then into "x86" and copy all 4 files there "D3D8.dll", "D3D9.dll", "D3D3lmm.dll" and "DDraw.dll"
4. Start "dgVoodooCpl.exe" to configure the settings.
5. Make sure the location is same as game. Press the ".\" button next to Add to make sure the Dark Sector folder is chosen.
6. Go to the DirectX tab and select your resolution, like "2560x1440" or whatever you like.
7. Add 8xMSAA and 16xAF in the settings. Recommended!
8. Press "Apply" and "OK" and you're ready to go!

anyone else getting a double vision problem when using this with dark sector, its like a transparent version of whatever is on screen offset to the right over everything

Works great! Just a reminder that you might want to put in your guide...You need to remember to choose your GPU under "Adapters to use" or else you will get terrible framerates.

You have to go to the DirectX section to find AF/AA and resolution. Worked for me, thanks!

Works for me and looks great. Never even considered to use dgvoodoo2 for d3d9 games.

Excellent guide. To those complaining about the "Application load error 5:0000065434": Make sure the game executable is NOT attempting to use elevated privileges, i.e. make sure to NOT run it in administrator mode.

I thank the creator of the guide for introducing me to this program, but I was having trouble setting it up. However, later I found a more detailed explanation on the internet and managed to get it working. Application load error 5:0000065434 for me, but then after closing that and launching from Steam it opened OK from Steam
