I can understand the use of accents, as annoying as I find them, but yeah, that’s a whole nother issue.

I've never understood why non-English characters in English (as in language, not the race) films/comics/games have to interject random words in their native languages in the middle of full paragraphs in English.

It reminds me of my youth when I used to read (war) comics where the Germans characters all used to speak perfect English, but would then would say "Jawohl", "Ja", "Nein", "Hande Hoch" or "Schweinhund" in the middle of an English sentence.

There’s even one rather long line entirely in French, followed by the translation in parentheses.
