First you need to install the base mod

The mod replaces default boring captain icons with 5 races from the Space Rangers 2 (humans included)
- 2 captain classes are assigned to each races
- each captain has a unique portrait located in the tooltip
- 10 portraits per Race (50 total)
- the portrais are assigned to captains permanently, game restart will not change them, so you can be personally attached to your fellow comrades.
