gm_retreat (revamped)

Description
Original description:

gm_retreat is set in the Resistance's secret base in the arctic regions.

Features:
- Fully AI noded
- Many rooms and corridors
- Warehouses
- Snowy tunnels
- Computer rooms
- Cafeteria

Background: The Resistance took over an old, research base in the cold north to shelter themselves while searching for potentially the only weapon that could destroy the Combine, the icebreaker ship "Borealis".

Notes:
For all weird lighting or reflection glitches, type r_radiosity 2 or mat_specular 0 into the console.

I do not own this map, it belongs to TubbyTapir and he has given me permission to release my version of this map (if you're reading this mr. tapir thank you). If you want a list of all changes added, check the Change Notes.

Anyway, why did I even make this in the first place?

This was one of the first maps I found when I had just started playing gmod. I really liked it, but I felt like it was missing something. A bit more detail, some graphical stuff, etc. Now that I can almost halfway make a map for the life of me, I figured this would be a fun project for me, just to have a break from working on my other map, gm_subterra. There you have it lol

dug this a lot. hearing that the klaxons sound off in multiple places made me very happy. hope to see more of this detail-filling-in type stuff

@Vezzy i honestly thought that map looked amazing as is. plus it would be a bit weird for me to keep releasing "revamped" versions of one persons maps. if you want the details of how i got to editing this map i can do that if you want to try it yourself

NEVERMIND i found the missing textures you were talking about. currently updating to fix them

Great map man, however I would like to offer some constructive criticism if that's okay.

1. Some of the wall textures do not load and are just error textures. (This could be just a issue for me.)

2. The alarm volume could be raised a little so that way you can actually here it. But not to much to the point where it becomes annoying.

3. This is more of a nitpick but it would be cool if instead of having the outside during the day it could be at dusk.

Other than that great map man, I certainly can't make stuff like this for the life of me. Anyway have a good rest of your day.
