Instructions on how to play Beetle Ninja on Linux, Note this was done with a desktop system but should work fine with Steam Deck as well!

Grab and run ProtonPlus from your package manager
Select steam and Install Luxtorpeda (I used v70.0.0 which is latest as of when I wrote this)
You should restart steam now so it will register the new compatibility tool
Set Beetle Ninja's compatibility to Luxtorpeda in the games properties page
Once you run the game you will be given a menu, Pick EasyRPG Player and OK
Then you can go into Games with Enter then Enter again to load Beetle Ninja
Enjoy!

Honestly, I feel it is unnecessary. The game executable is compatible with WinXP even- old enough that Proton support is rock solid for it. What are the benefits to using EasyRPG instead?
