ENHANCED HUSKS GUIDE
By Ok [BBB]
Enhanced Husks is the culmination of a crackpot idea and several hours, weeks, and months of working to deliver what is essentially Improved husk's hard mode.

Go play Improved Husks if you haven't since you may not be ready for what is essentially horde mode on crack.

A brief acknowledgement of the Husks
Husks, the whole idea behind the mod's existance.
You should find that there are an increased number of them compared to the original (refer to the old guide as while the information about the mutants themselves haven't been changed too much).
However it's mostly just murder monster madness. With the ones I want to talk about mainly being the random spawners and the diving suit Husks.

There are 3 Random spawners for these species:
  • Husk
  • Spineling
  • Mudraptor
This is because it would take rather a long time to include them all in the random events, and this feature was branched out to help give more variety to the platter of things to tear you apart.

Diving Suit Husks:
Believe it or not, there are now 8 of them, 2 being the camo and the bomber which are variants, while the other six are husks of the 6 wearable diving suits you can find in game.
One that I'd like to touch on is the Exosuit husk, which comes with a custom wrecked diving suit (which honestly should be the base game). Basically it's the only husk with a removable suit which might change in the future depending on some features I've been planning to add.

But hey, on the bright side it introduces more variety in your gameplay.
Changes made with Symbiotic and Unstable husk eggs
I've noticed you guys have been rather confused, and I mean I haven't exactly been able to make a guide up until now, and I would include images but hey, I'm a sucker for flavour text.

Unstable Husk Eggs
Unstable husk eggs are obtained by killing mutant husks.
Their primary function is to start the "husk mutation" process by being injected into husked creatures. Injecting them in a non husked character will infect said character with a strong dose of the husk infection, however it can also cause humans to turn into a bloated humanhusk that will eventually turn into a mutant.

Unsettling Amphetamine
Finally, a use for dementonite.
Mostly it's to make the process of crafting unstable husk eggs far harder, and also to give players a sense of maybe how it all started, something something lore blah blah blah.

You can hit people with it now.

Symbiotic Calyx Injector
Used to inject a dose of symbiotic husk infection in humans that serves enhance the beneficial effects of husk infection.
The first dose is all you need, however it is ineffective on its own. You can use Husk genes which gives you Husk Infection Affinity, which offers a boost to regeneration, this also slows bleeding and loudly heals you when incapacitated.
You can use Husk Symbiosis which gives you Husk Infection Healing, which offers a speed boost + Pressure resistance while also offering a better rate of healing compared to affinity. Unlike affinity, Healing quietly heals you, and mostly makes you an undying monster (though if you are overconfident you can just as easily get torn apart, though marginally slower than if you were to not have such buffs.)

or as Diemoe put it (btw thanks man, you're a life saver)
"To achieve underwater pressure resistance, immunity to infection, underwater breathing, and life regeneration, you need to have the Symbiotic Calyx Injector + Husk Infection + Husk Genes simultaneously"

Current changes for Cultists and changes soon to come
CULTISTS!
Our favourite goofballs have screwed up yet again, anyway more cloaks, a couple mission variations, and some cool funny cloaks that offer a specially changed Husk pheromones.
I'll keep this short, the cultist clothes can now make husks Idle around you, hell if you get your hands on the priest clothes then they will protect you.
The Knife is even more of a banger, as it can cause whoever you stab to get instant husk nausea.

yeah it's just meant to be a buff if you meet certain conditions

So effectively the symbiotic husk by itself is fairly pointless, until you get 100% husk genes & husk infection if I am understanding correctly

Symbiotic is simply just a buff if you have either husk genes + Husk infection or just Husk Symbiosis

So what exactly does symbiotic husk do by itself?

Does having the symbiotic husk infection effect from before the update break things cause I used some husk genes w it stepped out and popped. Took a long break from baro so it was from before this update and all. Might just be me being an idiot but could anyone help me cause I am beyond confused at this stage
