The Mako was designed to be a frontline carrier. As such, it is built in many ways similar to a battleship with a large amount of weapons and armor. However, it sacrifices a battleship's ammunition supply for several hangars, where it more than makes up for its lack of firepower with the firepower of drones, fighters, and gunships.

The Mako's bridge has a large amount of consoles for drone control, and there is a exterior ventral connector array for quick re-fuel and re-arm in battle.

Compared to our other two carrier models (Chimera and Wyvern), the Mako has more hangar capacity and armor than the Chimera, but less firepower and storage. Compared to the Wyvern, it has less hangar capacity, but possesses stronger armor and a higher amount of weapons and storage. It is a faster carrier than both ships.
