I found a method to fix the Ghost Recon Breakpoint crash for myself and my friends, we all use the Vulkan API, hopefully Ubisoft will fix these crashes:

Short:
Enable Windows 8 compatibility mode in the game launcher file named GRB_vulkan.exe and GRB_UPP_vulkan.exe

In more detail:
-Navigate to the folder with the game
according to the standard location of the game in Uplay: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Ghost Recon Breakpoint
according to the standard location of the game on Steam: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Ghost Recon Breakpoint
-Go to the folder with the game and find two files in it, with the names GRB_vulkan.exe and
GRB_UPP_vulkan.exe -Right-click on the file with the name "GRB_vulkan.exe ", go to properties
-Go to "Compatibility"
-Check the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select "Windows 8"
-Click "Apply" and repeat this for the second file with the name "GRB_UPP_vulkan.exe"

*My computer specifications for today, 06/03/2024:
AMD AM5 7600X processor, RTX 3060 Ti graphics card, 537.58 graphics card driver, manually installed Vulkan driver version 1.3.283.0, Windows 11 23H2 operating system
** Please, who bought the game on Steam, create a Steam manual with this method. Thanks! I can't create a guide because I bought the game at Uplay :)

Vulkan just doesn't work with less than 4GB of VRAM.

I actually have a hilarious separate bug sorta similar. My game will crash and not load if I have Firefox open because for some reason the game uses like to use 10gb of my regular RAM and Firefox likes to reserve 4gb (I have 16gb). However if I close Firefox and then launch the game it works fine. I can even open Firefox after and it doesn't crash. It just uses a ton of resources during launch, it's also notably the only game I have that has this issue at all.

I'm pretty sure the real cause of these crashes is the game going overboard with VRAM use. On mode updated Nvidia drivers it shouldn't crash, but instead it lowers the FPS to single digit, unplayable performance.

The only real solution is to lower game settings, because the VRAM usage indicator inside the game is hilarious off the mark and way below what the game actually uses.

Yeah it doesn't work with me much either. I simply posted it on the steam guides because the original poster in the forums wanted someone to post it here since they bought it on Ubisoft
