Beskrivelse
This reuploaded mod will replace MP5 with MP-40 from Call of Duty: Vanguard, made for those who don't want to risk their game to have unstable FPS and occasional audio cuts with many HQ-ish mods installed.

What's provided in the original mod by M82A1闇冥 :

  • Weapon model with animations, custom HUD icon and sounds

Changes I made to M82A1闇冥 's mod:

  • Compressed the .vtf texture files by resizing them to half of their original resolution
  • Replaced the firing sound with a better one from a video by YouTube @M4skedBoi with some conversion work, albeit at a lower sample rate of 22050 Hz
  • Replaced the handling sounds with the ones from Battlefield V using audio recordings from YouTube @leff_m8a3 with some conversion work
  • Added a proper incendiary firing sound

You have to subscribe to all Required Items to the right of the description. Please keep in mind that the custom script mod only works on local servers. So, if you use this mod on any official/unofficial online servers, there's a chance that you'll be kicked from the server.

REMINDER: While the purpose of these compressed weapon mods is to minimize the risk of unstable FPS and occasional audio cuts, some of them still have the potential to cause game crashes, as their .smd file(s) (a.k.a. their uncompiled model files) may exceed Source's 17,433 vertices limit. Unfortunately, there's little I can do to address this issue, as splitting their .smd file(s) into different parts requires more skill and trial and error than simply compressing the texture files. Besides, I usually don't take mod nor friend requests.

Thank you for all your compression work, hud icon and script mods. Aswell as your interesting writeup on the history surrounding the mods of M82A1闇冥. Your categorization of your mods into neat collections and well kept addoninfo.txt with short descriptions inside the vpk are also very convenient, for somebody who downloads mods for offline use like me.
