BETA RELEASE - This mod might undergo various changes until I finish it, so it's released now just for letting people test it. I haven't found anything that crashes anything so far though, and even if I change the mod, any character you have made who got a kit from the trait shouldn't be affected by updates.

Some people were prepared for an apocalypse happening.

They didn't know it would be zombies though, so their emergency kits made for whatever imagined disasters might not be ideal for what happened. But many of the items contained within it can hold value to your survival. You got your hands on such a kit, either because you bought it, made it or found it. Whatever the reason, whatever random stuff is crammed into the kit will have to be enough.

This mod adds a new 3 point trait "Emergency Kit" which spawns you with a Satchel bag that holds random survival gear as well as some junk items for flavour only.


There are several different themes to the Emergency Kit:

Survival Kit: This comes in several variants, Wilderness (surviving off the grid), Fishing (with some essentials to live off fishing), Medical (a few more advanced medical items, Urban (gives you a flashlight and a small chance for Generator Magazine).

Camping Kit: More focused on what you might need while out camping.

Hermit Bugout Kit: Focused on surviving far from civilization. Has a decent chance of spawning a Herbalist Magazine (a pocketbook guide to berries and mushroom native to the area).

Vampire Slaying Kit: Whoever put this together was preparing for the wrong apocalypse, but this rare kit will still provide you with some useful items against zombies (although the stake might be more useful for setting up a tent than as a weapon).


Every kit also will spawn you with a map for the nearest town.
