Introduction
Weapons and equipment is the main and only way in Lords & Blades to increase your character's potential and power. To see what all the stats do, look at the previously posted guides about stats. In this guide, we'll go over weapons and equipment only.
Weapons
In lords and blades there's plethora of different weapons to find and buy. The main types are ranged and melee. But within those, there are a few different types that will give you a different playstyle. Below are all the types of weapons that are available and the stats that they will give and the benefits of equipping said type.

RANGED

Bows: There is only one type of ranged weapon in the game currently, and that is bows. There are a few different ones ranging from Common to Epic. But in general bows will provide ranged attack speed, stamina and damage.

MELEE

There are many different melee weapon types in lords & blades, below is the list.

1. Swords
Swords are balanced weapons that will often balance between giving stamina, health and damage. Swords are easy to use, have a wide hit box but not high range. Generally swords are a very good choice for light armored fast builds.

2. Axes
Axes are heavy slow moving weapons that never give melee attack speed. Instead, axes primarily give high damage and health. Good for the slow but heavy hitter, High DPS.

3. Spears
Spears are unique in that they offer a very long attack range, great for the main melee weapon of a ranged focused build. Spears always give ranged attack speed, making them a great combo for archers.

4. Daggers
There are only 2 types of daggers in Lords & Blades, daggers are weapons that give low attack damage but high attack speed, being used for fast builds. With their short range you must get very close to your target, meaning that it's quite hard to fight with them reliably.

5. Maces
Maces are weapons that generally give the character attack and health, sometimes even stamina or armor. Meaning that maces are great for the tanky builds.

Naturally, there are legendary weapons that dont really follow these rules, these weapons generally give lots of all stats.
Armors and Shields
There are a high amounts of different armors and shields in lords & blades, some of them blur the lines in which is used for what but in general theres a few differences.

Armors

1. Light armor/leather
Light armor is usually starter armor, armor that gives low defense but usually either stamina or attack speed in either ranged or melee, usually some epic leather armor is a good choice for a ranged build, as this will improve its ranged capabilities.

2.Heavy armor
The rest of the armors can be seen under heavy armor; mail, plate and thundering. Generally, any armor that doesn't give speed will fit under this category. Thundering being the strongest armor in the game as writing of this guide, giving high armor and health bonusses.

Shields

1. Small shields
Wooden shields, Bucklers and the steel shield gives attack speed bonusses for ranged and melee, making them very useful for ranged players however they give low amounts of block.

2. Medium shields
Very balanced shields that give high armor and health/stamina bonusses for no downsides.

3. Great shields
Even though great shields give near 100% block and insane amounts of armor and stats, they also give a - on attack speed for both ranged and melee, making them ideal for tanky builds but less good for a ranged user.
Rarities
There are a few different rarity scales in lords & blades, starting from Common all the way to Legendary.
