Fast Resource farm locations

My personal guide to help myself remember the best places to farm, based on my experiences playing the game and tips from Steam forums and Reddit.

Few things to know:

  • This guide was made with hard mode in mind . However, theoretically, the same procedure should apply to normal difficulty (not tested for those without a (Normal) tag), though the drops will be lower. In some cases, you may not encounter elite spawns or the necessary objectives to trigger on normal. I will add a (Normal) tag if it is more efficient to farm a resource in normal difficulty.
  • Before each farming session, equip a sensor with a Consumable Drop Rate Increase Modifier to get a few extra items.
  • Unlock Enzo, he will make your life a lot more easy when unlocking vaults.
  • Loot from time to time Munition and Resource boxes, they drop blue resources. You never know when you may come one to short.
  • Don't waste Code Breakers on random vaults you find along the way. Instead, save them and use them when you actually need specific resource, as each map has vaults with different loot drops.

Heat Plasma battery

Location
Hagios - Starfall road
Operation: Old Mystery.

Farm process:

Start the operation and proceed as usual until you are tasked with exterminating the enemy. Keep killing enemies; plenty of elites will spawn, and they will drop batteries upon death. You can either restart the mission and do it over, or press on to the end to get a lot more batteries.

I suggest starting the operation in a private session if you plan to rr operation.

Balanced Plasma Battery (Normal)

Location
Fortress - Fallen Ark
Operation: Quarantine Zone.

Farm process:

Follow the path and complete the objectives. You will encounter two elites that drop batteries. After killing the second one, restart the mission.

This method is more efficient when done on normal difficulty, as there are fewer time-consuming objectives to complete before being able to kill both bosses. The battery drop amount for normal is still very good. Additionally, from what I've seen, the bosses are not present on hard difficulty.
Divided Plasma Battery (Normal)

Location
Agna Desert - Vermilion Waste
Operation: The Asylum

Farm process:

Follow the mission objectives until you meet the boss. Kill the boss, get the battery, and restart the mission.

Play it in private.
Fusion Plasma Battery

Location
Sterile Land - Rockfall / Classified Area
Outpost

Farm process:

Raid the outpost until the boss spawns. Drop the boss HP to just a few percent, then walk outside the outpost until you see the mission failure warning. Once the timer hits 00 seconds, kill the boss. You will get the loot without triggering the outpost cooldown.

• This requires practice to execute properly; otherwise, waiting one minute is still a good alternative as you have a chance to get Amorph. Also, set the game to private.

• You can do this on normal difficulty for a 100% drop rate but with fewer items, or on hard difficulty with no guaranteed drop but potentially more items if they do drop.
Deformed Biometal

Location
Fortress - Convertor Facilitty
Outpost

Farm process:

Raid the outpost until the boss spawns. Drop the boss HP to just a few percent, then walk outside the outpost until you see the mission failure warning. Once the timer hits 00 seconds, kill the boss. You will get the loot without triggering the outpost cooldown.

• This requires practice to execute properly; otherwise, waiting one minute is still a good alternative as you have a chance to get Amorph. Also, set the game to private.

Synthesized Artificial Biometal

Reactor

Farm process:

Before you start, you will need 34 Organic and 11 Monomer shards. Start the Reactor, kill 2 out of 3 elites, and then abort the mission so you won't lose your shards.

Artificial Biometal

Location
Sterile Land - Rockfall
Mission: Anticipated Ambush Point

Farm process:

Start the mission and follow the objectives. At the end of the mission, an elite will appear that drops Biometal.
Conductive Metalic Foil

Location
All Vespers regions
Vaults

Farm process:

Run around the map and press TAB from time to time. You are looking for a distinctive ping, which indicates that you are facing towards a Vault. Keep walking and use the ping to find the exact location of the Vault.

I suggest using Enzo unless you are confident in your skills at the Vault opening mini-game. If you fail, you will lose a Code Breaker, which is not easy to obtain and would be a significant loss.
Cooling Metalic Foil

Location
All White-night Gulch regions.
Vaults

Farm process:

Run around the map and press TAB from time to time. You are looking for a distinctive ping, which indicates that you are facing towards a Vault. Keep walking and use the ping to find the exact location of the Vault.

Thermal Metallic Foil

Location
All Echo Swamp regions.
Vaults

Insulated Metallic Foil

Location
Kingston - The Fallen Theater
Operation: Magister Lab.

Farm process:

Start the operation and follow the given objectives. Two bosses will drop Foil, with the last one appearing at the very end.
Polyatomic Ion Particle

Location
Fortress - Frozen Valley
Mission: Command Relay

Farm process:

Start the mission and play until you kill two elite enemies. Then, abort the mission and restart.
Anode Ion Particle

Location
Hagios - Forward Base
Mission: Broadband Fleet Beacon

Farm process:

Start the mission and follow the objectives. 3 elites will spawn that may drop Particle.
Positive Ion Particle

Location
Agna Desert - Miragestone
Mission: Commanding Ground

Farm process:

Start the mission and follow the objectives. Three elites will spawn, each dropping Particles.
Negative Ion Particle

Location
All Sterile Land regions.
Vaults

Farm process:

Farm process:

Start the mission and follow the objectives. It's a very fast mission.
Advanced Neural Circuit

Location 1
White-night Gulch - The Mountaintops
Mission: Border Line of Truth

Farm process:

Start the mission and proceed to the objective, 3 elites will spawn that drop Advanced Neural Circuit.

so... while it's possible to go get 15 on hard mode, it's more common to get 6, in normal mode it's guaranteed 6 and sometimes you get 9.



Location 2
White-night Gulch - Shipment Base
Mission: Fortress Courtyard

Farm process:

Start the mission and after killing the elite, abort the mission.

It takes about 10-15 seconds to get 3-5 circuits. Sometimes it may drop nothing, but from my testing, this is not very common. Sniping the elite from afar can make this process even faster.
Encrypted Neural Circuit

Location
Echo Swamp - Abandoned Zone
Mission: Environment Contamination Zone.

Farm process:

Start the mission and follow the given objectives. There will be few enemies that drop Encrypted Neural Circuit. This mission is very fast and can be completed in under one minute with fast and DPS descendants.
Data Processing Neural Circuit

Location
Vespers - The Lumber Yard
Mission: Frontline Base

Farm process:
Start the mission and follow the objectives. Aim to reach the final boss as quickly as possible, for Data Processing Neural Circuit drop.

Bring fast DPS and mobility having descendant to complete the mission as quickly as possible, since only the final boss at the end drops the item.
Complex Carbon Activator

Location
Echo Swamp - Abandoned Zone
Operation: Seed Vault

Farm process:

Start the operation and proceed with the objectives. There will be four elites that drop Complex Carbon Activators. After killing the fourth one that is carrying the second bomb, either restart the operation or proceed, depending on your personal preference.

An alternate for Complex Carbon Activator is in Derelict Swamp - The Chapel (Normal). You can start this from the Albion mission console as well, just get to the first yellow bar, I use bunny and just sprint through the whole mission, then kill them, abandon, and repeat.
Compound Carbon Activator

Location
White-Night Gulch - Moongrave Basin
Operation: Mystery's End

Farm process:

Proceed with the objectives until you reach the room with the hand, where an elite will spawn. Kill the elite and then restart.

I tested both normal and hard modes. While normal mode has fewer objectives, the elite spawn are further away. Both runs ended up taking very similar times for me, so I guess it comes down to personal preference which difficulty to choose here.
Common Carbon Activator

Location
Vespers - Lost Supply Depot
Operation: Sepulcher

Farm process:

Start the operation and proceed with the objectives. After killing the elite, restart the operation.

Play in private.
Low-Carbon Activator

Location
Kingston - The Fallen Theater
Outpost

Farm process:

Raid the outpost until the boss spawns. Drop the boss HP to just a few percent, then walk outside the outpost until you see the mission failure warning. Once the timer hits 00 seconds, kill the boss. You will get the loot without triggering the outpost cooldown.

Play this in private, as you will need to quit mid-mission.
Mixed Energy Residue

All Agna Desert regions
Vaults

Farm process:

Run around the map and press TAB from time to time. You are looking for a distinctive ping, which indicates that you are facing towards a Vault. Keep walking and use the ping to find the exact location of the Vault.

Code Breakers/Analyzers

Location 1
Sterile Land - Rockfall
Mission: Anticipated Ambush Point

Farm process:

Start the mission and follow the given objectives. This mission is very fast and can be completed in under one minute.



Location 2
Echo Swamp - Abandoned Zone
Mission: Environment Contamination Zone.

Farm process:

Start the mission and follow the given objectives. This mission is also very fast and can be completed in under one minute with fast and DPS descendants.



Location 3
Kingston - The Destruction
Mission: Kingston Communications Repeater

Farm process:

Start mission and follow objectives, kill enemies. In my experience, this location offers better chances to get Ultra Code Breakers/Analyzers compared to the other two locations.

It is quite luck-dependent, since you dealing with common but elite enemies that may drop Code Breakers/Analyzers. However, I’ve had some success getting a few drops on all 3 locations. But just playing the game is another good option to get Code Breakers/Analyzers. Location 2 is great farm place not only for Code Breakers/Analyzers, but also gold, kuiper shards and all kinds of loot.
Monomer Void Shard (Electric)

Location
Fortress - Fallen Ark
Void Fragment (Electric)

Best descendant:
Any Electric attribute having descendant with Thunder Cage, which can easily wipe out enemies as they spawn in very tight groups.

Farm process:

Simply kill enemies.

Having friends or joining a lobby with other players doing this shard will speed things up significantly. Focus on holding the platform and cave areas. Using a good crowd control weapon or skill that clears enemies quickly works wonders.

Polymer Void Shard (Chill) / (Fire)

Location
Fortress - Frozen Valley
Void Fragment (Chill)

Best descendant:
Regular or Ultimate Viessa, focusing on her 3rd and/or 4th dot skills that leave ice on the ground.

Farm process:

Simply kill enemies.




Alternative Location
Vespers - Lost Supply Depot
Void Fragment (Fire)

Best descendant:
Blair with a good crowd control weapon like Thunder Cage and decent skill upgrades for the second stage fight. You can continue using Thunder Cage throughout.

Farm process:

Simply kill enemies.

Having friends or joining a lobby with other players doing this shard will speed things up significantly. Using a good crowd control weapon or skill that clears enemies quickly works wonders.


Inorganic Void Shard (Toxic)

Location
Echo Swamp - Abandoned Zone
Void Fragment (Toxic)

Best descendant:
Freyna, focusing on her first and third abilities to easily kill spawning enemies.

Farm process:

Simply kill enemies.

Having friends or joining a lobby with other players doing this shard will speed things up significantly. Using a good crowd control weapon or skill that clears enemies quickly works wonders.
Organic Void Shard (Fire) / (Electric)

Location
Hagios - Dune Base
Void Fragment (Fire)

Best descendant:
Regular or Ultimate Lepic, focusing on his 4th ability to quickly melt enemies and the shard.

Farm process:

Simply kill enemies.




Alternative Location
Agna Desert - Vermilion Waste
Void Fragment (Eletric)

Best descendant:
Regular or Ultimate Bunny, focusing on her 3rd ability and mobility to quickly dispose of enemies.

Farm process:

Simply kill enemies.

All the rare purple materials have been listed (I hope I didn't miss any!). I won't add the blue ones, as they are easy to find and obtain. I'll keep this updated if future updates introduce any new materials.

I can't find any replacement for this guide, so this one is gold.
And I'm not involved enough with this game to help update it, that being said, I don't think much has changed. I always find what I was looking for using this guide. Just like @YouSmellThat? said, the Anode Ion Particle drop seems to be lower than alternative.

Sorry folks, don't have time for game, so am out of the loop whats going on in there atm, am willing to update guide based on what people say here, but would need info what to update.

Anode Ion Particle - i was constantly getting 2 per mission.. and its a fairly long mission.... if you go to the fractured Monolith and do the Large Supply Transport Point mission you have much better luck. you can do all of the objectives but one and in the last 30 seconds, the final boss spawns, you can go to the last location and kill him before the 15 second timer and get the little bit from the mission or just not do the objective at all. drop rates are the best by far.

@BeyondLucky i've checked all the Void Reactor, and the ones that gives you material is only Elite enemies. all named bosses doesn't give you anything. this is all i've found:

Low Carbon Activator: Kingston - Grand Square Void Reactor

Crystal Biogel: White Gulch - The Mountaintops Void Reactor

Synthesized Artificial Biometal: Agna Desert - The Storage Void Reactor

Specialized Biometal: Hagios - The Corrupted and Dune Base Void Reactor

Fusion Plasma Battery: Sterile Land - Rockfall & Repository Void Reactor
