Pharaoh, like Troy, has five main resources, while most other Total War games have only money and food. If you're new to this, here's a simple way to break it down:

1. FOOD

Food is the most common resource - you get a lot, you spend a lot. Every single unit in the game costs food, as do some buildings. You never want to run out of food, but you also get it as a reward from every battle fought, so having a negative per-turn supply doesn't necessarily mean you will run out any time soon. You start the game with a boost to food income, though, so make sure you're on top of that because you don't want to starve when that runs out.

2. CONSTRUCTION

Wood and Stone are used for constructing buildings. As a general rule, more advanced buildings will probably need more stone. Outposts are particularly stone heavy, so don't build a temple or fort that the enemy will just raze next turn. These are often trade goods, as you don't need a huge stockpile, just enough for whatever you want to build.

3. ARMIES

Good units need Bronze. All units need food but that's a huge issue on its own, whereas bronze is specifically used to recruit and upkeep powerful units.

4. GOLD

Gold is king. Gold is required for everything powerful, and trades favourably with every other good. If you have a steady stream of gold, you ca buy whatever you need, including rushed construction.
