Intro
Hello!

I decided to create a brief guide about advanced techniques that you can use in Sandbox mode to create more sophisticated rooms.

Please note that support for multiple rooms and floors will eventually be part of the game. For now, I just wanted to share an idea on how to achieve these.

Feel free to join game official Discord channel to discuss and share new ideas and techniques!

Multiple rooms
Here is a simple technique that will allow you to make multiple rooms.

Since v0.20, you can add interior walls. However, you can still use this method if you need to make thicker walls.

The idea is quite simple. You just create multiple rooms by defining the "shape" of your room.

This method might seem a bit inconvenient, but it is definitely doable. If you wish, you can also place doors between rooms.
Multiple floors
Making multiple floors is a little bit trickier, since room editor only allow making a single floor room. But you can use basic shapes to make another floor and even stairs.

So. It order to build this, go to "Add object" > "Basic Shapes".

Spawn a block of desired size and rotate it 90 degrees. Use RMB to switch rotation modes and then use mouse wheel to rotate it.

Disable collision and angle restrictions to be able to place blocks inside each other on a wall.

Accurately place the block where you want it to be. Use scale tool to resize the block if needed.

Keep in mind, that this method requires patience and accuracy. Use Left Alt to temporary disable grid snapping, it might help you to align blocks between each other.
Interior walls
Since v0.20, you can add interior walls. However, you can still use this method if you need.

This method involves creating a wall using primitive objects. Simply, go to "Add Object" > "Basic Shapes", select a block that fits, place it in the room, rotate and scale it. This is just like making a second floor from the previous section.

Sloped walls/ceiling
You can use Basic shapes to make sloped walls as well, and even place windows on it.

So, to achieve this, disable collision and place one block on the wall at the sloped angle. (Tip: you can hold Alt to move and rotate the object without snapping) Then place another block under the first one to hide the space between blocks.

Enable the "Free placing" option to be able to place windows and other objects on a sloped wall.

Thanks!

I'm using this game to decorating my new room! And I was having a problem with adding a shower in my bedroom. It's might be tricky now, but I hope to see more updates from you in the future!

Thank you again for a handy tool.
