The Bantam was developed to be a carrier mounted boarding craft to deliver troops to enemy stations and ships. Although its purpose is somewhat similar to the Hornet, the Bantam is designed to be a dedicated troop transport and is therefore less designed for offensive combat. Instead, the Bantam is quick and manueverable for its size, to help it get in close. It is also compact, so that it can be placed within carriers and land on enemy ships easily.

In combat, the Bantam is designed with a flat bottom and 4 landing gear so that it can easily land onto enemy hulls if necessary. It has heavy armor all along the bottom surface and the the tip of the nose, since these are the most likely places for it to be receiving fire. As it descends upon the hull of enemy ships, the Bantam has 4 downward rocket launchers to blast open a hole for troops to enter through once it lands.

only half, and i wont force people to download a file larger than what they need, thereby slowing down connections to games using the mod pack. plus the pack includes the arc reactor, which is an OP mod i refuse to associate with

Most of these mods are avalible on the small ship mega pack, it would be alot easier if you just did that instead.

i think a big part is i always avoid interior blocks. i noticed early on that they make a big difference in performance when included, so i started building without them. honestly, ive gotten so used to not using them, that even if they dont lag anymore i dont think i can find a place for them anymore lol

Indeed, you do an amazing job of creating large ships that don't lag my system out. There are quite a few by other creators that lag like crazy and its quite the shame because they're quite beautiful ships. I probably have a rendering issue with lots of objects, like over 200k, but most of the Phoenix ships are like at most 100k.
