Biz-Bender: Collect all the vanity items (Treasures)

The rank of the treasure is determined by the amount of damage you inflict on the chest, SS is the top rank and therefore would need the most amount of power inflicted on the chest to obtain it, but the SS treasure is also obtained right before dealing the final blow to Hundun (The final boss). There is an element of randomness to Hundun dropping Wan's Teapot, but you must beat him (on any difficulty) with a Gold or higher rating for him to be able to drop it. Engaging the avatar state yourself during the battle (not just the avatar state that the game makes you go in at the end of the battle) may increase your odds of the item dropping, or may even guarantee it.

To get the higher ranked items I suggest maxing out earthbending, equipping the talisman which continuously maxes out your chi and then holding the heavy attack button (Y/Right-Click/Triangle) until the attack is fully charged and unleashing it.

YOU MUST COMPLETE THE LEVEL TO COLLECT THE ITEM/TREASURE.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to go to your vanity collection by pressing start on the chapter menu, as you may not get the achievement until you check your collection.
My Cabbages!: Collect 10 Cabbages

The cabbage is a rank C level item and therefore requires very little damage infliction to obtain.
If you are already at a very high level which I assume you are, there a few ways to work around this.

I recommend option 1, since it takes the least amount of time.

1. Complete mission 1 on casual and kill as many spirits as possible, I recommend using wind (maxed out) with the talisman which maxes your chi continuously. You should recieve a cabbage near the end of the first part of the mission (After Tenzin says, "Air" or "Only the Avatar..."). Repeat until you have 10 cabbages.

2. Go into mission 7 on casual and kill all the chi blockers when you're fighting the 3 Mechas and you're Giant Avatar Korra, and you will recieve a cabbage. Let the Mechas kill you and repeat until you have 10 cabbages. Finally, finish the mission and you will be rewarded with all the cabbages you collected.

3. Go into mission 6 "Spirit World", after defeating the two giant spirits and Hundun creates dark energy holes everywhere, head back until barriers prevent from going any further, and defeat the lone spirit which appears there. Complete the mission and repeat until you 10 cabbages.

4. Create a new game and using your weak punches break as many chests as you need to collect 10 cabbages.

IMPORTANT: YOU MUST COMPLETE THE MISSION TO OBTAIN YOUR TREASURE/ITEM/CABBAGE.

Tip: You will unlock the achievement at the Item Bonus screen once you have collected all 10 cabbages.
Not a Booster Rocket: Go into the Avatar State 10 times

Once you beat the second to last mission you unlock the item which allows to go into the avatar state from Iroh. Buy the item which lets you go into the avatar state from Iroh, use it, and repeat 10 times. I recommend buying the item, starting the air temple mission, using it right away, then exiting to the chapter menu screen AFTER YOU SEE THE SAVE ICON APPEAR.

Once on the chapter screen buy the item from Iroh again, equip it in Korra's room, and resume the southern air temple mission from where you left off and repeat the first steps.

After beating the second to last mission, you can then go into any mission and go into the avatar state by filling up the "Avatar State Meter" on the top left of the screen, by fighting enemies, and tapping LB (Q) and RB (E) at the same time.

You could also beat the final boss or complete the second to last mission 10 times since you have to go into the avatar state, but this would take much longer.
Jill of all Trades: Complete all Tutorials

To unlock this achievement you must complete all the "tutorials", which are objectives given to you during the missions that appear on the top left of the screen, once you complete them in the mission, they are underlined in red. Once you have completed them, upon re-entering the mission they will no longer appear.

Unfortunately this means you must cycle through every mission and look out for these "tutorials" and complete them.

I recommend starting at the first mission, where the objective is to cycle through all the elements after Tenzin announces them all.

Otherwise you might have not gone into the avatar state in the second-to-last mission when fighting all the bosses at the same time, or perhaps you may not have gone into the avatar state at the last mission when fighting Hundun (The final boss).

Mission 1-1

Mission 1-2

Mission 2

Mission 3-1

Mission 3-2

Mission 8

IF YOU STILL DO NOT GET THE ACHIEVEMENT AFTER GOING THROUGH THESE MISSIONS:
Go to C:\Users\"YouUsernameHere"\Documents\Korra, move the two files somewhere else. Load the game, steam might ask you to sync the files to the cloud, ACCEPT TO UPLOAD TO THE CLOUD (If you mess up, and download the files from the cloud, repeat the steps up until this point). Pass the game on casual. You're probably missing one of the tutorials in the 3rd mission so it won't take too long. Once you get the achievement, close the game. Open C:\Users\"YouUsernameHere"\Documents\Korra, and delete the files in that folder. Finally, place your old files back into C:\Users\"YouUsernameHere"\Documents\Korra and you will have your old save back. Now if steam asks you to sync once more, ACCEPT TO UPLOAD TO THE CLOUD, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE FILES FROM THE CLOUD, as those are the files with the casual game on it.

These are the save files you must move.

Go in Peace: Spirit-Bend 200 Dark Spirits

To unlock this achievement you must spirit-bend 200 dark spirits, I suggest going through the "Spirit World" mission twice and making sure to spirit-bend and not kill all the spirits you encounter. This should add up to 200 spirits if you've already completed the game on normal. To spirit-bend, knock-out the spirits by beating them until their health goes down near zero and a yellow bolt pops over their head and press B. Make sure to press B a couple of times to spirit-bend all the available knocked-out spirits.
The Fire Ferrets Strike Again!

To unlock this achievement you must complete the pro-bending tournament on Ace difficulty.

Max out earth and fire bending to make Mako and Bolin stronger teammates. It really makes a difference. By maxing out waterbending you will also increase the strength of your attacks.

Learn to counter, sometimes the countering can come back as much as 5 times, and the countered attack always increases in speed.

Learn to dodge and evade. Spend a match or tournament without attacking nor countering. Move laterally and dodge. Simply moving in a lateral direction is enough to evade attacks, once you decide to switch lateral direction whilst you are being attacked, dodge in that direction, or else the attack will hit you. Remember not to dodge 4 times in a row, as your last landing will glue you to the ground for a moment, making you vulnerable to attack.

Attack opponents after they fire their element as they are vulnerable in that state.

Targeting opponents who are not directly in front of you, and occupied by one of your teammates can land you some easy shots. Just remember to dodge/evade/counter the projectiles coming towards you.
Spirit Energy (Money) Tip
To gather extra spirit energy quickly complete mission 1 on casual difficulty to earn 28500 spirit energy. The air temple level is also a quick mission to gather spirit energy.

Spirit energy doubling talisman comparison:

With shadow fist talisman: 34,833 spirit energy total - 28,500 chapter spirit energy = 6,333 spirit energy collected in combat

WIth spirit energy doubling talisman: 37,777 spirit energy total - 28,500 chapter spirit energy = 9277 spirit energy collected in combat

Spirit energy doubling talisman increases spirit energy collection in this case by 46.49% which is close to the 50% which it says it should increase by. Of course this percentage will be different for different missions/players/equipped talismans.

My other three talismans were max chi, continuous healing, and extra speed, and my levels were all maxed out.
About Medals

There are 4 ranks of medals: bronze, silver, gold and platinum.

Let's assume these ranks are determined by an amount of points you make in that part of level (or level in its entirety e.g. the final mission). You will get a higher ranked medal by accumalting more points. Now I believe these points are positively influenced by three factors, the amount of damage dealt, the amount of hits dealt and the amount of time until completion of the battle. One negative factor is the amount of damage you take. Now, I have found that maximizing the three positive factors and taking zero damage may only yield a gold medal. This is not true for every part of the mission but this may be what is holding you back from platinum in some instances. I have found that countering is the basis on which to progress from gold to platinum. I have done the test where one counter made the difference between gold and platinum. Obviously, dying in the part of the mission you are getting a medal for will have a negative effect, and I believe it will definitely drop your medal score. That being said, you may be able to die in betweeen medals without affecting the medals you earn in each part of the mission.

Difficulty is also a factor in the rank of the medal. The higher the difficulty, the harder the game expects it to be for you to do something that you would in a lower difficulty so it lowers its expectations, so to say.

The medal you earn for the mission is an average of all the medals you earned in the mission, so don't make too much of a deal about getting a lower tiered medal when trying for a platinum mission medal, as you final mission medal will still end up being platinum. As long as platinum is the average.
ex: 2 golds 3 platinums = platinum mission medal
ex: 3 golds 2 platinums = platinum mission medal

On EXTREME DIFFICULTY to get a platinum medal for the mission, you must get platinum medals in all parts of the mission.
Unlock Bending Code
To unlock all the elements without going through the story, press L+R+LB+RB+LJ+RJ whilst in a mission.

L is the left trigger, C (Counter)

R is the right trigger, Shift (Dodge)

LB left bumper, Q (Cycle through elements to the left)

RB right bumper, E (Cycle through elements to the right)

LJ click on left joystick, R (Should be R since this is how you target)

RJ click on right joystick, Middle Mouse Button (This reorients your view when you click it on a gamepad)

NOTE: I haven't been able to get this to work solely using the PC commands, so it might not be possible without a gamepad.

Press all of these buttons at the same time, and all the elements will unlock. If you haven't legitimately unlocked the element(s) by going through the game, once you leave the mission, upon re-entering, the elements will be locked, but you will find that the levels of the elements will have been saved, if you re-unlock the elements.

thanks for the Jill of all Trades help. I missed the switching prompt and would have been totally lost without your advice.

I maxed out my bending first and had a rough time grinding for the C-rank vanity items, until I found this exploit:

- Go to Air Temple Island on Casual
- Ride the air ball and use its damage (which is tiny) to open the chest just behind where you spawn
- Exit the level.
- Resume the level from last checkpoint.
- Repeat from step 2 until you have all the items you need
- Finish the level

The drops you get are recorded even when you don't get a checkpoint, but you have to finish the level to acquire them. Maybe this will help someone else one day :)

I recently found a new spot to find a cabbage. It is in mission 2. During the run, you run across 2 Chi Blockers that are just guarding something and when you get too close, they use a smoke bomb to escape. When you get to the second Chi Blocker, use a few charged Water shots at him and he will drop a cabbage. Did this a few times and he is a good one to get some.

Hi thanks for the guide (a bit late).
I've had a problem with jill of trades, I tried times and times to restart the game and do the 3 first missions, but still nothing.
So a little angry i've press all the button of my controller (in the chapiter 3 when i've finished the tuto).
And with my no sense mashing i've unlock all 4 benting! after that i've kicked the 3 benting guys and noticed that my "avatar gauge" was in charge.
So i've restarted again, charge my avatar mode and launch it. And there i've received the tuto for the avatar mode and the acheivement.
So yeah, its a new strange technique who avoid you to restart till the final boss.

For "Jill of all trades":
- During the first pro-bending match (mission 1-2), the "Counter" cannot be validated by deflecting an attack, it really must be a mere blocking with no counter attack.
- You forgot to mention a "Counter" during mission 4, while facing the very first mech. (Want a screen?)

I was missing the Avatar State Tutorial for Jill of all trades. After I backed up the files I started a new game without deleting the files an got to chapter 2 where I put in the code for unlocking the elements and I was able to fill the "avatar state meter" and get tutorial. I'm not sure if I was able to do that because I had the elements unlocked or because I didn't delete the files, but all of the costumes and the stuff in Iroh's shop (except new moves) as well as pro-bending were still unlocked.
