Operation First Light: Re-Introduced [SQ v8.2] [Map] - [KOTH][ZEUS]

Operation First Light returns—a beloved map from Squad's early history, cherished for its intense infantry combat and strategic depth. Originally removed due to scale and potential technical issues, this map has been brought back for the community to enjoy once again.

This re-introduction of Operation First Light is an early alpha release but is fully playable in its current state. The map remains largely unchanged from its original form, preserving the unique blend of close-quarters combat and tactical opportunities that made it a fan favorite. Light updates to terrain textures and foliage have been considered, but the core experience remains true to the original.

Perfect for smaller groups, organized play, or as a refreshing seeding layer, Operation First Light: Re-Introduced offers a different pace compared to the larger-scale battles typical of Squad. Whether you're revisiting an old favorite or experiencing it for the first time, this map is ready for action.


Version 0.0.3 includes a new foliage overhaul for the map and breaths new 'life' into it. Read the changelog for more information including known issues.
