Scout Weapons
By The Crazed Buttstaber
This is not a strategy weapon guide. While I will put a strategy here and there (most from time playing with it), this is just to show the weapons for new players mainly.

Introduction
Hello there random person who just clicked on this guide. I am here to start a 9 part serie trought all classes. This is first. So now to the real introduction. Scout is awesome. Nuff said. Most people tend to play stock scout but they are missing on ALOT. If you clicked on this guide, maybe you are too. So follow me throught this awesomes scout weapons. Oh yh, before I forget, all pictures here belong to theyre rightfull creator. I didnt creat anything here.
Primary weapons
Scattergun

So this is the stock primary weapon. It does some good damage (point blank: 85-105), enough to kill most classes in two shoots. The main reason it is used, taking out the part that since it is stock it has nothing bad, is because of the clip size. All replacements for scout primary weapons have a clipsize penalty. The scattergun is the only one that has 6 shoots before having to reload.

Strategy: Basic scout strategy, really, is there anything more to say. Use flanking routes, be carefull, use youre speed and jumps, etc. There are other guides for that.

Force-a-Nature

The first weapon for many players, its has been known as the ''Gibus Weapon'' for some time. But this weapon is preety good, if you know how to use it.

Strategy: If you want to use it to his full potencial, go to a map with cliffs and carts, like Hightower or Upward. Hide yourself and be sneaky. Use Bonk if needed to put yourself in a good spot. Wait until the cart advance and attack. Use the extra damage to take out important targets. If you see someone near a cliff or vulnearble on some way, take them out with the push given from the force of Nature. Try to stay away from big fights, the smaller clipsize will only get you killed.

Stats:

+50% faster firing speed
Knockback on the target and shooter
+20% bullets per shot

-10% damage penalty
-66% clip size

Shortstop
Well, this weapon might look awesome, both in terms of stats and look but I never had a chance to use it. The twist with it is that you get extra healing from everything.

Strategy: So, this time it is a weapon that I cant really say anything good about but I will try anyway. Use it in a map with lots of health pickups, like... well, just use in a map that you know were the health pickups are. Try not to use in the Arena, since the heathpacks are limited. You can try to avoid the push given from damage and airblasts but most of the time it can help you get away. Use it with Mad Milk if you really want its max potencial.

Stats:

+20% bonus healing while deployed.

Increase in push force taken from damage and airblast

Soda Popper

Well, now this weapon I do have some playing time. Its a Force a Nature that Scout changed so that he could jump to the heaven. It is one of the most fun weapons to use for scout in my opinion. Just jump and jump and jump and jump and get killed. Yep, that is about what I remember of using it.

Strategy: Remember the strategy for the force of nature? You know, that being sneaky thing? Well, you can forget that on this one. The fast firing and reloading speed means that you can hold a little more on fights. And that jump thing? Use to get out of complicated places and fights or, if you are sure about youre skills, use it to distract the enemy. And the 2 shoots before reloading arent a problem anymore because of the fast reload time. Its almost the perfect weapon. I should use it more.

Stats:
+50% faster firing speed
25% faster reload time

-66% clip size

Baby Face Blaster

One of te best weapons in my opinion. The thing with this weapon is, you start slow, you do damage and get super fast. But there is always a catch. The catch is that you cant jump. Well, you can jump but you lose your speed if you do it. But really, with so much speed, do you actually care about that?

Strategy: Try to use it on maps that you dont need to jump to flank like te Beta map Asteroid. Try to get as fast as possible youre boost. When you get it you can use it to get the intel, kill people, etc. You really couldnt care less about what you are gonna do because YOU ARE SUPER FAST!! Just watch out. You dont have the freedom to use youre double jump so much so you cant fight projective based classes that well (Soldier, Demo and sometimes Sniper).

Stats:
On Hit: Builds Boost
Run speed increased with Boost

-34% clip size
10% slower move speed on wearer
Boost reduced on air jumps

BackScatter

Do you know how hard and strange it is to find a good backscatter image? So much random scout D**k. But okay, back to the weapon. This is the lattest weapon for scout and many say, one of the worst ones. And I would have to agree. I never used it but I have seen people use it and it kinda sucks.

Strategy: Well, be a spy. I remember seeing a video from Star_ or Jerma I think talking about the new weapon. The loadout he used was the backscatter for the ''backstabs'', the BONK to cloack and the atomizer for some extra mobility. So back to the beggining, be a spy. If you play spy well, you are probably gonna do well.

Stats:
Mini-crits targets when fired at their back from close range

-34% clip size
No random critical hits
20% less accurate
Secondary Weapons
Pistol/Lugermorph

The secondary that I use the most, it has some great uses. While other secondarys are better that this at first look ( BONK, Mad Milk,...), this weapon can be great in the hands of a good player.

Strategy: If it is stock, it is basic scout strategy. Read another guide for that.

Winger

Sorry for the lame picture but when you search cool winger images, you will only find ponys. Yep, you read it right. I think its the name of a pony I guess. I am not really into it. So I decided to just go with the default image. But okay, this weapon I have little time with. It just never really called me. But okay, lets get to the good part. It lets you jump higher. While that may look like a very good feature lets ask ourselfs, do we really need that height? The only use I can find is to discover hidden places with the Soda Popper to.

Strategy: So, the extra damage is negated by the reduced clip size. I dont know but I bet it would do the same damage for second as the pistol. So, about the extra jump height, you can get to far away places with ease and can be a good flanking tool. That is about what I can say about it.

Stats:
+15% damage bonus
+25% greater jump height when active

-60% clip size

Preety Boy Pocket Pistol

Another pistol that never really called me. It was my first strange. Sold it right away. So back on track. The cool thing is you have extra health and tak no fall damage. The bad thing is that pyros are a ♥♥♥♥♥ to deal with since you take so much damage from fire.

Strategy: This is a pistol that is not made for combat. Its made to stay in your pocket and just give you bonuses. Because, lets deal with it, the slower fire rate and fire vulnerability aint gonna kill nobody else than you. So use your primary, that should be, in my opinion, the Soda Popper, and cancel that fall damage, use your extra health, just dont take out that gun unless in a emergency.

Stats:
+15 max health on wearer
Wearer never takes falling damage

25% slower firing speed
50% fire damage vulnerability on wearer

The Flying Guillotine

Something taken out of a chinese kitchen cant be bad, right? The aswer? It kinda can. A weapon that I used for a while before turning it into scrap, I never got the hang of it. Maybe its the strange throw, or the fact that I dont use sandman with it. I dont know. I dont care.

Strategy: Well, if you happen to hit someone with it during the heat of battle, it deals the same damage as a pistol. Ok, fair enough. But if you like the sandman, if you hit someone stunned, it deals the same damage as a scattergun without the fear of being up close. A good combo is the Baby Face Blaster, this guy and the sandman, since that crit knife will charge your speed bost in no time without the fear of going into the frontlines.

Stats:
Throw at your enemies to make them bleed!
Long distance hits cause mini-crits
100% critical hit vs stunned players

No random critical hits

BONK! Atomic Punch

BONK! is full of radiation, which, as we all know, gives people superpowers. Like the superfast blazing superpower, were scout starts to sing ''Cant thouch this'' to the bullets and rockes sound. There should be a mod like that.

Strategy: You might have notice that BONK! over here has been called a good bunch of times, maybe refering to the force of nature, or maybe about the Soda Popper or even About the Pistol. That is because it has a good number of strategic uses. You can use it to get behind enemy lines (force of nature), do the BONK Loadout (Soda Popper, BONK! and Atomizer), distract players and sentrys (that might get you killed) or even do THE AMAZING TORNADO (The tool Box/TFtools).

Crit-a-Cola

So, this is a gambling drink. Or you kill alot of people like they were nothing, or you sadly die in a horrible way. I think BONK! is a little better, since it still gives you the speed with no risk involved.

Strategy: Use on an ambush. They wont even have time to attack if you kill them quickly. But if you happen to let them live just a tiny bity longer, youre dead. You take extra damage from everything, and Scout health is low enough as it is. So yeah, gambling in tf2 at its best.

Stats:
While under the effects:
+25% movement speed, your attacks mini-crit, and damage taken increased by 10%.

Mad Milk/ Mutated Milk

Here. In the image. This is the only way scout gets his milk. If we can even call it that. But okay, this is a great weapon that I never had a chance to use. But its really good. Mainly in MvM. I am not a fan of the Meta but a mad milk scout with a fan o war works wonders on MvM.

Strategy: Throw youre ''milk'' at random persons. It doesnt matter if you kill them. Other teammaters will take care of it, and they will get health for that. You will be consider a nacional hero for helping your team because really, who helps theyr team? Its a sad question but who? Nobody.

Stats:
Players heal 60% of the damage done to an enemy covered with milk.

Meele Weapons
Bat

:( We are on the last section... Sad... But okay, lets talk about the bat. Its stock, does good damage and I use it alot to go Bat-man on mainly valve servers. It is incredible the amount of points I get before I am kicked by some 11 year old rage kid.

Strategy: Stock... Just be carefull to not get yourself in dangerous situations if you go BAT-MAN!!

Pan

You mighht be thinking, why the hell is there gonna be a Five Nights At Freedys 2? I might not have that answer but I have the aswer to that other question. Why did I put the pan here? Because lets face it, it does way more crits. I dont care about stats and probability, it just does.

Strategy: Same as before, just better to go BAT-MAN!!!

Sandman

The first meele weapon for many, it is like all the other meele weapons. A big piece of meh. While that big ball can be usefull many times, it will not be good enough for that health penalty.

Strategy: You can use that ball to stun players that are crit boosted or about to deploy the uber. Or even to run away. The problem for me is getting the aim. But I bet I am not the only one. Like I said up there, you can use the kitchen knife to do some good damage but that is a far as It could go.

Stats:
Alt-Fire: Launches a ball that stuns opponents

-15 max health on wearer

Candy Cane

One of the only three meele weapons that isnt in the meh field. Its very good. As a scout, you have very little health. Any type of damage can kill you easily on the battlefield. Medkits, dispensers and medics arent always helping you. So every little health that you can get is precious. And this is where this weapon comes in.

Strategy: With this weapon you are more free of getting in the middle of the fight since every kill you do drops medkits for you or for your team. You just have to watch out for soldiers or demos. I dont need to talk about the sentrys rockets because lets face it, if you get in the range of a sentry, you are already dead.

Stats:
On kill: A small health pack is dropped

25% explosive damage vulnerability on wearer

Boston Basher

The second of the three meele weapons NOT in the meh field. This one is in the BURN IN HELL!! field. I bet you have the same problem has me. Have you never try to use this weapon but always hit yourslef and die? I know that I have. And it hurts. The prize to miss a shoot is to much. Scout health is too low and that bleeding drops his health to a third. That is to much.

Strategy: The only use I can find is to help medics build uber, so yeah, go and do that...

Stats:
On Hit: Bleed for 5 seconds

On Miss: Hit yourself. Idiot.

Sun-on-a-Stick

Ok, back to the meh field with the sun on a stick. For many consider the worst weapon in the game, I have something to say. They are almost right. For scout it is the second worst, right up with the boston basher. But Boston Basher is worst.

Strategy: So yeah, that part of criting on burning players, how many times is that gonna happen, and that damage reduction aint gonna help. So, if you are gonna use this eaapon, try and follow a pyro, steal his kills and be a gaint dingus.

Stats:
100% critical hit vs burning players

-25% damage penalty

Fan o War

Only image that I found in the middle of star wars pictures and its kinda cute. But its to big...Well, this ws one of the only weapons I used for a while before changing to the weapon I am gonna mention after this. When I was a MvM addict, I mainly play scout so yeah, this weapon is needed to play scout. Now in the little times I play MvM, I main pyro.

Strategy: In MvM, go and smack some giants. In normal tf2, just go there and smack those heavys, but be sneaky or you are gonna get yourself killed.

Stats:
On Hit: One target at a time is marked for death, causing all damage taken to be mini-crits

-90% damage penalty

Now, since the image is too big, you will have to deal with this big empty space...

Atomizer
My favourite weapon by far, the mobility it provides is incredible with only a little health cost. Plus, it has BONK on it. Anything that has BONK on it is safe and good for your health, right?

Strategy: Use that amazing third jump to evade rockes, grenades, needles, fire and even work. Just not bullets. And all of that with only a slight health cost for each third jump and the ability of not going BAT-MAN, wich is sad...

Stats:
Grants Triple Jump: The third jump deals 10 damage when used

30% slower firing speed
-20% damage vs players

Wrap Assassin

Last and very least, we have the wrap assassin. What I consider a good flying guillotone, it has everything you need for your anual christmas hunt. It has a ball that makes enemys bleed and thats about it since the damage is to little to say anything about.

Strategy: Its is the complete opossite of the sandman. You throw the ball when you are close since the enemy will notice where it came from and will kill you if its from far away.

Stats:

Alt-Fire: Launches a festive ornament that shatters causing bleed

-70% damage penalty
Conclusion
Well, this was cool. And SORRY FOR ALL THE ERRORS, I am not of a english speaking country, i just happen to know how to talk and write. And Well, next time, we will be having one of this two guys or girls, you decide which (or if nobody votes this guide I will)...
