LIM LF-16A Sandpiper | Survival-Ready Bomber/Interceptor

The Sandpiper was a project during the days of Lagrange working under Midori Consolidated Industries, never entering full production but showing immense promise. When the Factorum began their raids on the outer systems and military spending skyrocketed amongst the various governments and militias, Lagrange moved to the forefront of the efforts to supply effective and robust yet cost-effective vessels to fight off the relentless attack waves of the Factorum.

The LF-16A was one of the main vehicles at the dawn of this new era. Equipped to be fast, agile, and ruthless, the Sandpiper comes equipped with 4x Avocet-B anti-station missiles capable of withstanding incoming turret fire to ensure 75%-100% of the missiles impact and detonate successfully. However, as an Interceptor, it can also equip any of the interception missiles Lagrange supplies and perform this duty effectively and precisely.

In order to keep a low profile, the Sandpiper does not come equipped with a turret or radar but instead an early-warning system capable of detecting friendlies and enemies at a very long range - but is unable to determine the distance, and thus only displays the direction of the target.
